The next update of Claire's Quest should be ready and released near the end of month, on September 30th (US Eastern Time)!
UPCOMING SCENES FOR THE NEXT UPDATE (0.29.1):
Temple/Sisters (Apostasy): Claire vs Ropers. Features futa, tentacles, and transformation.
Temple/Sisters (Apostasy): Absorber vs Roper. Features tentacles and reversal.
Ranch (Beth's Beastwife Ceremony): Claire x Beth x Gale. Features group sex and beast.
Additionally, some fixes for game quests. And the world has been enriched with additional natural elements. Hills, rocks, small lakes, and puddles here and there. Small things that will increase the world's immersion. And probably only 1% of players will notice them. Fixes will be made to areas where you can get stuck and unable to move, etc.

Does anybody know how you get the ingredient salt? And how do you start to learn the lockpicking skill?

Can't remember where to get salt of the top of my head, but for the lock picking you have to do and talk to a thief on Valos who's standing next to a lockbox. He's the one who teaches Claire how to pick locks and give her the tools to do so. He should be in the inner-city towards the bottom right if I remember correctly.

Hey, if they delayed the update just to add more content that's fine with me. Unlike some games on this site, I noticed that Dystopian Project at least gives us new content with every update. They also usually deliver so I'm not going to complain. As long as it means that Claire's Quest gets closer to completion, a month delay isn't an issue with me.

paupers? I know Pauper means a poor person, but is this the Slums and Urchins, or related to the scene when she was caught in the rain after so many steps? Or something over on Rathpike?
Seems to be the only thing of interest in the update.

When I save the game the game basically doesn’t register the save so if I exit back out the game the game resets. Is this exclusive to the prologue and allow me sage after or it’s it just on my end that the game isn’t saving?
hiii its been quite a while since i played CQ...has there been any progress afterr meeting with the mom near the fountain or something? thats everything i could recollect

I agree with you. For now, the main storyline will be developed for another 10 years. Which is great. Side quests are being finalized. And Claire has been having adventures with animals for several months now. I was hoping Steam would give the developers some advice, considering it's been banning adult games about sex with children, necrophilia, and zoophilia. That normal sex is okay in games, but with animals it's hard. Steam has a new policy that prevents sexually explicit games from being released in Early Access. A restriction confirmed by developers like Dammitbird who were denied a release for their game "Heavy Hearts. But Claire avoids all of that.

You got sex with dogs and horses , you got bulls and pigmem , wolves , tigers , monkeys , insects , crocodiles , bears and so on ... what the else do you need ?! Its a fucking zoo all ready ! In the farm you got a horse and a dog (with several scenes each) , what else do you want ?!I wish they'd expand the farm to different animals.

I personally play the game mainly for the Ranger and Breeder Questline, so it's not too weird I'd welcome more content. Also don't put those two together, they are different Questlines - the Ranger one even featuring quite serviceable writing for a porn game.
The Breeder/Farm Questline in general is a bit underwhelming and feels a bit tacked on, there isn't much actual story going on with it. And as you say, it's Horse and Bull which is nice, but Dog? The dog doesn't work that well in the scenario in my opinion, having a domestic pig or sheep or goat there would tickle my fancy more and that'd be the reply to your question.
It's simply preference. I play the game not to collect all scenes but to experiences the content I think is kinky. And yes, having a different animal makes the whole thing feel different and special in it's own way, it's not "if you had one you had them all" kind of deal with a lot of other motifs you see in those games.
But that's a niche interest and that's okay!
EDIT: To add, also obvious cross-content between Farm and Ranger Questlines. Unlocking special features when you complete one in the other. Further up I wished for the completion of storylines having some kind of impact on the others or the sandbox gameplay, but each one feels very isolated.
Doubt they can keep this up for an other 10 yeas. Artists, coders , people to support the updates financial. Like 90 % of the games using this donation model at some point it will get abandoned if they dont start to wrap up things
Bestiality is 50 % of the sex scenes content in the game if you include the monster sex scenes. If not more. Every one has preferences , and its not like the other parts of the game are finished or more presented . Its about time they push the main story forwards. Im sure there will be more zoo sex along the way for you. The farm "quest line" is totally unnecessary in my opinion - the bestiality scenes with Beth and the blonde girl did not need this farm/breeding mechanic to be in the game. It makes very little sense in the game world anyway.
