I was really happy Cleo did not start with a present boyfriend, I find it really frustrating when games like these impose a relationship on my protagonist from the beginning.This game is great, we just need a boyfriend for Cléo and then NTR
This can be made optional so that NTR haters don't get angry

Actually Cleo has a guy that is "almost" her boyfriend: she is talking with him on the phone at the begging of the game

you are talking about very specific genre - CYOA - when you are creating background for your character and choose your story
VN or AVN tells you a story with a protagonist that already has a background created by the author
if Cleo has a boyfriend, then author needs that boyfriend to progress the story in particular direction

No, Cléo has no boyfriend. Jason is her crush, someone she met during a particular event at the dance Academy she's trying to join. He's Maelody's boyfriend tho so he's potentially going to cheat on her gf if Cléo will give him a chance or if there's gonna be an opportunity for it to happen. Actually tho nothing ever happened so far between the two of them. Just video calls and a little chatting. That's all that happened so far..

I agree with you. Not that it's a pre-established rule for games with a female protagonist, but at least for me, it's much better when the girl starts alone.
And I really hope it will be completely optional.
The crush dialogues are annoying enough.
Since we have other options, I hope at least one of each gender can replace her "crush" and she'll stop simping about a boy we didn't choose.
Especially with the Gwen interactions it seemed to me that this could become more than just a few casual scenes.
Could even evolve in a similar crush on her, maybe because she is awesome in something (stripping?
) that makes her forget all about him.Maybe even a little bit unhealthy, worshipping or stalking comes to mind.
Had to replay the game after reading all those false boyfriend comments because I got worried I missed something.

that's exactly what I had in mind. You choose who you wanna spend your time with and no forced relationships with Jason are gonna take place if you don't want them to happen.

I think I'm going to like Vanessa if she turns out to be an evil, corrupted, depraved master mind!
You know I can't think of a single good VN on here where there is a great Evil Queen protagonist that corrupts the MC just as hard as anyone else.... Are there any I have missed?
"A Perfect Marriage" sort of have this, but development progress is pretty slow. You can also get some of it in "Good Girl Gone Bad" if you start on the good girl path and let your latina friend (can't recall her name) get corrupted ahead of you.

Thanks I have tried "A Perfect marriage" and "development process is pretty slow" is an understatement. Cleo feels like she has had sex thousand times more then, what that dev is doing with the MC there. Glacial story progress.
I have never tried Good Girl Gone Bad but I will give it a look, thanks for the tip. You can check out Fashion Business as it's the only one I could think of, the story is starting to meander and is becoming dumb, but for awhile there it was amazing. Victoria is one evil manipulative witch but she was fun when the story was good.
In Cleo I'm hoping Vanessa is even more sadistic than the guys, in my experience women can be down right cruel to other women especially when they are already jealous because they know they are not as attractive as the other girl.
