this game has been in the work officially for 3 years but work was already started prior to that. if you take the current amount they make every month which is roughly 20k so that's about 240k a year for 3 years they have made roughly 720k give or take a few thousand and the game is only this far. it has minimal scenes you would expect from a porn game the gallery barely has anything the game is ultra buggy and while all the image quality is high for a pixel game it does not justify the speed. an update is put out every month or 2 but they don't add anything half the time. with a team of at least 4 people its almost like for these people this game is just a hobby and it's showing a lot in their work. this game does not justify the amount of money they are paid a month. think of it this way we pay them monthly to make the game even if its just a dollar a month for a year every year that's 36 dollars total right now for the people that did so as soon as the patreon went live. that's more than half the price of a triple a game big companies put out and at the rate, they are going this won't be done for at least another 6 or so years. and to top it off the lead dev for this game essentially stole and ran off with many ideas and used a loophole to take money from the game he was working on before nearly bankrupting the original games lead dev and his team. this guy wants money and people blindly give it to him he needs to understand we pay him because we want him to make this game but he's too far up his own ass with greed to see that.

IF YOU WANT TO SEE ACTUAL PROGRESS MADE TO THIS GAME THE DEVS NEED A SCARE THAT THEIR LIVELY HOODS ARE AT STAKE IF YOU DONT FEEL LIKE THE GAME IS DELIVERING ON WHAT YOU PAID PLEASE STOP ALL PAYMENTS ON PATREON FOR THIS GAME. MAYBE THEN THE DEV WILL UNDERSTAND THAT HE HAS AN OBLIGATION TO DO WHAT HE IS PAID FOR.

THIS IS A JOB NOT A CHARITY TEAM NIMBUS PLEASE START ACTING LIKE IT.

I'm not against you really or trying to support the devs, but, isn't Patreon basically a charity in which people help artists, devs, whoever they like without expecting anything in return? as far as I know, whatever you get by supporting someone on Patreon is completely optional and if they wanted they could simply stop giving you the privileges given whenever they want. (in this case, this video game called Cloud Meadow)

They're expected to offer something in return. In the words of Patreon "Membership is a relationship between you and your most engaged fans — the ones that choose to go a level deeper than just following you on social media. They become paying patrons in exchange for exclusive benefits you offer." The benefits depend on the level of tier a patron elected to subscribe to.

It's fascinating watching people who make thousands a year have their developers sign up to a tiny forum on the internet nobody knows about.
The porn game space is pretty small honestly
actually this project started while the breeding season is still developing and this project was 2013 basically 6 years

Edit: if you didn't add the "we shift into new game engine format which is unity - judgeheath" its basically 3 years
Oh look, an outright lie I've already told people was wrong. No. This project did not start in 2013. I've already been over this, I believe it's on... page 91, 93 or maybe 96-97? I know I addressed when we did stuff there.

I said that Breeding Season was made in Flash, Cloud Meadow was made in Unity, and calling them the same project is disingenuous when the only person who worked on both of them was S-Purple.

well if its not 2013 then i assume it would be around 2014 at your patreon by the time of december 2015 thats where i notice your changelog v.0.00.0.0 before you create another second account or delete all the previous changelog post by july 2016 to start a new one

Now the tentative work is Q3, 2020... How much time and how much updates it will need for Spurple reach at his vision? Because honestly, if Breeding Season needed to die to bring this game to life, it was probably the worst sacrifice ever.

Breeding Season didn't have to die. H-Bomb had all the code, and as anybody looking at us can see, you can push out a lot more art than you can good, bug free code in any given time-frame. Spurple just bailed on a sinking ship after everybody else on the team told him they were going to leave at the end of July 2016 anyway from being fed up with H-Bomb.

H-Bomb still has all the rights to the code. He had a patreon turning out 41k a month and suddenly no longer had anybody sucking up any of it except himself. He could have gone and gotten a quote from literally any NSFW artist or animator on the net pretty much and been able to pay them to fill in all of the blank boxes left behind by Spurple pulling the art. (Hell, with that much income he could have put himself through art-school and done it all himself if he really wanted)

He didn't. Like S-Purple and everyone who has ever actually had any experience with H-Bomb knew he wouldn't. Because H-Bomb didn't actually do any work, at all, except push changes, send out stingy paychecks, and then go off to fuck around with 50% of the income every month.

Breeding Season didn't -have- to die. All S-Purple did was force HBomb to actually go out and find new people if he wanted to keep going, rather than leave the thing up to keep generating income off of S-Purple's art while not actually working on the game at all.

I didn't knew the details of the backstage. So it makes sense now, but I can't stop the feeling that BS was probably going to be the (good) Harvest Moon of the H-Games. And now I feel that CM will try to reach at Steam when the development reaches at the end. If that's good of bad we'll have to see.

Thanks for the insight. Loved what the premise was for BS and the art, just didn't know exactly what happened, only what H-Bomb fed onto the blog. If I can remember, didn't S-Purple want H-Bomb to stop using their work? Would make sense understanding the dynamic behind the scenes.

Man, its a good thing a person like Spurp took over then. imagine if a dev went months without releasing updates that contain anything but bugfixes.
This game is like brexit, it never ends.
it won't end until people stop paying. Projects like this make me feel better for backing people like innoxia who might have gaps in their schedule but god damn it, they will actually bring content eventually.

didn't S-purple leave team at that time when the breeding season fiasco happens?

Yeah, apparently no one in this forum tried to tackle a big project.

The project is huge. It's taking long, yeah, but that's what happens with big projects. And 20k seems like a lot, but it's not when you need to hire a team. Actually, it's not much at all for the scope of this game, specially with the art quality. It wants to be a sexy runescape and has better pixel art than stardew valley.

It does seem to suffer a lot from scope creep, but it's very, very far from being a scam.
this argument would hold a lot more water if there weren't other h-game projects out there that still manage to leave this one in the dust update schedule-wise. Hell, Breeders of the Nepheylm is made by one guy for unreal engine and it updates like bi-weekly.
I think summertime saga manages to add content more often and that one is like two guys isn't it?

there's a lot of issue lately with summertime saga on forum thread here because of content hasn't deliver yet plus its already 3 years of them according to these users, the devs of summertime saga is getting lazy at this point and mostly burnout of ideas in there content.
