Failed to load mono, what is this?

Anyone else has problems with the first dialogue?
She asked me what do you want to do.. (meet up with the villagers or go the farm) no choosing option was shown, I can't seem to move either like the game froze or sth. But when I click options and go back into the game, I can move my character freely. I can't talk to the villagers though and she keeps asking me what do I want to do, making my game freeze again.
This is my first time playing this and probably the last time

Mono is an open source version of .net are you playing on a Mac or Linux system?
Search Mono project if you need download.

I searched for this error under Unity and the posted solution was to install the x64 Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and if it's already installed to do a repair.
