Kinda strange to want Steam inclusion now, you are making decent money through Patreon support.

The main character looks to be a fully adult male which is a change from your previous works, no teenage stud and since you want a steam release no incest I assume.

Already this is looking to be an uphill battle, you are moving away from your core demo in the hopes of infiltrating a market that frankly is already filled due to Conan Exiles Mod community and that has the backing of a sandbox RPG world and franchise IP behind it.

Seems like its not gonna be worth it in the long run but this is just my opinion. I think you are better off devoting yourself to Cockham Superheroes, theres so much more you could be doing with a Superhero porn game and to think you want to put it to the side for a Barbarian non-incest, steam cleaned game that lets face it, is gonna be parody ripoff of Conan, which already is a dated franchise that not many people know or care about. Superheroes are timeless.
I agree with you that superheroes are timeless and more appealing. I mean who doesn't love superheroines in spandex costumes? This game gives me a lot of fun especially the Superman cuck scene :ROFLMAO:

Yeah the game could definitely be more fleshed out with hero/villain content, repeatable missions, a nemesis system, rescue missions, bank robbery missions, I could go on.

Seems like dev only scratched the surface and then got bored of the genre which is crazy to me. He also limited himself to "Marvel" and "DC" and seemingly ignored "The Boys" and "Invincible", no Atom Eve, Queen Maeve, Starlight, Monster Girl, Dupli-Kate, Shrinking Ray, the mafia could have been Little Nina's Russians, the ideas are non-stop theres so much superhero world building.

If I had the patience I could probably make a great game, I got plenty of ideas but unfortunately I dont care about game creation I rather just play them and keep it a hobby plus I am already too busy with my WoW/SWTOR raids.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't really match with your player base but have you ever considered making a game with the mc being a big alpha futa? Given one or two appear in some of your game, just asking for information not saying you should, you know better than me what works or not with your customer base.

I will not include further characters. I want the game to wrap up. The only ideas I will consider are mission ideas (with details preferably) to reach that goal.
Talk about a waste of potential. Out of all your games and themes (Post-Apocalypse, Family Rom-Com, CovidCashGrab, Age of Conan) I think this one had the most potential....maaaybe Apocalypse too but you leaned a bit too heavy into the politics aspect.

I think SOMEONE needs to atleast tell you before you wrap it up that I dont think you are gonna be able to top this game, Superhero porn games are some of the greatest ones ever if done right both story and content wise with dedicated fanbases.

YOU like the superhero theme more than others, I think we got the message.
But you don't represent everyone...

I dont think you are looking at it from a consumer angle. You are looking at it from a seemingly bored developer angle.

If you were to poll it I would bet a majority would take continued development on Cockham Superheroes over Barbarian Chronicles.

IDK if its because of a short attention span, burnout, or whatever but you got a goldmine on your hands and you are about to throw it away. Barbarians are not more interesting than Superheroes...and thats not just my opinion thats me speaking for a majority of the world.

I was excited about Cockham but the truth is that it hasn't been that good. Sure, it's hard to make a game like this, a lot of work, but the game doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Battle of the Bulges, for example, sets a challenge for you from the intro: compete against another character to see who can get the most girls in a certain number of days. So from a game point of view it is entertaining and competitive.

Apocalypse about moving forward exploring new territories, more open to creativity. But Cockham is practically the same and without a clear villain or a mission in general. In terms of story and as a game it is not that good.

On the other hand, what I have read about Barbarian Chronicles is quite exciting. The possibility of improving your village, animated combats, even better look in general, it shows that it is more worked, with more passion and detail, there is a lot of potential to make things in better quality, an improvement on his previous work.

And furthermore, it is better to let the dev work on something that he is passionate about rather than on something that is forced to just please some people.

That's what I think it boils down to, the dev just isnt that into the genre. I think Cockham Superheroes has suffered BECAUSE dev hasnt been passionate about it, which is a shame because there is so much potential here.

But you also gotta remember that this new game, Barbarian Chronicles is supposedly going to be intended for a Steam release so that means alot of dialogue and content you would come to expect from Epiclust will probably not be in the game, I gotta imagine setting guidelines and regulations will do nothing but hurt creative freedom.

Being passionate about something is great but if their is little to no interest in your passion then is it worth it? Isnt the goal to make money? Unless this is just a hobby in which case then yeah I think the dev should focus on what he is passionate about instead of what makes the most money.

I get that this is the devs game and all but I could do without the many, many 4th wall breaks explaining the IRL stuff or porn game tropes and treating the dev like some sort of omnipotent entity.

Comes off as egotistical, cringe and forced. You dont have to make everything about you even though this is your game but its meant to be a game, not about you.
Wow that's crazy

Did I miss something, I can't see the "turn on" cutscenes subtitles at all, unless this game doesn't have that right? (My game version is 0.5, haven't check the new version at all)

You need to set up voices or dialogues (or both) in the preferences menu on the main menu screen.

Whatever game you decide to go on i know its gonna be great. I liked Cockham but found it was lacking a main quest to guide the game's development. Also maybe having a divide between hero and villain path throughout the entire game was leading to complications. Still think its great and holds a lot of potential, one of the best on the platform.
For barbarian chronicles i wish you the best. I have to lobby as always for a Chief Lena comeback as you know how much i liked this character . Would be amazing to see her again. and she would fit great in this story setting. Anyhow good luck !
