The guide is severely outdated, IME. Even back when last I played through, which was some months ago, it referenced dreams I didn't get and actions I couldn't take.

So Idk if this is a dumb question but how do you get the wood to change hair and eye color
Read the Note Nº13, and then, if you catch the subtle parts, you might get to another place, and then to the right one.
I don't want to teach you every part of how to reach there, just try.
Explore and rejoint.

Remember this is a test, and as long you use the "Free game" mode, you can attempt as many times you want. Every time, even if just by a little, you will become better at it, and know something you didn't before.
The game isn't finish or completely polish. But by what we have now. You can reach what the notes says.

Just try. And don't be afraid of lose a save

Oke.

After some testing, I found some "things", that can be polished, and are not a big of a deal.

1. There is something like a bug, where the "crusty key"-tree won't change his dialog after you brought him the Lilith. Making impossible reobtain the crusty key.
This might be a "miss progress flag" issue, because only happened to me when doing things a bit too quicker. I still have to find which flag is the "un-blocker".

2. There is a light glitch when you go to basement while on night. Not always trigger, but when leaving the basement, the light setting reset to day time.
This can be corrected with some correction on which value is automatedly assign when leaving the basement, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

3. Base on the basement, if there is a Deathcandle, close to the door of the cabin, and you move down while on night, you can see it, just like if you were outside.
I know this is a bug product of how is insert the basement on the whole map structure, so maybe, making the stairs set the value of daytime to just day, when moving down, while storing the value of the current setting might work.
Still this depend on how you build the whole system, I'm just assuming you used a world-type variable for daytime.

4. When walking around the Research Outpost, the upper walls of the "contained-red-black-hole-thing" seems to not have been coded right, for when someone walk behind.
It's a minor issue, and I know you know how to do it right, since the rest of the walls work just fine.

Now random stuff, that isn't necessarily and issue
[Number 5 might be an easter egg or an error. Not sure]

6. For more that I try to get it right, I can't manage to get the right chest size for the ritual.
Don't know if it's a fault from my part, but when trying to get it carefully. 1. get the message of too small, 2. get the message of too big. I don't know if there is a middle size I am just missing, or if this tree is just mocking on me...

7. I'm not sure if it was your case, but when saying that sometimes the true Harpy seems to doesn't spawn, it might be in reality, just under a tree... No, really. Right in the base of the three texture.
It's so similar in colour, that just for a few pixels, it can't be noticed, even while the tree is translucent
[Notice: This just happened to me with a few mushroom, I haven't tested it with every kind]

Anyway. I will keep trying to find every detail, and find a way to replicate it, so you can have it easier to solve.
For what I have at the moment. It's a good section, more intuitive (or guided) than others, pretty fun after all.

That's all I have for now. Have a nice evening

Thank you for the feedback.
Mostly just using this to flag this as a reply for your inbox, I guess?
Issues I've encountered in... maybe 45 minutes on the current version:

1. Someone may have already told you this, but the entire interaction system could use an overhaul. When I attempt to interact with something and then my inventory opens, it feels off in a way I can't adequately explain. Like, I get the goal, use an item on this thing you're trying to interact with, but it still doesn't mesh.
I'd suggest looking at how other games do it for comparison. Maybe some sort of on-screen "tool tip" indicating the issue, like the words "locked door" showing what you're trying to interact with will clear up my issue.

2a. Additionally, there's a pretty serious overlap problem. In the house, for example, the cat goes by the door, and then I can't pet the cat, only open the door.
2b. Upstairs, there's a room across from the bathroom. When I try to open the door, the door behind me opens. I'm not even sure if this means I can't interact with the door in front of me, because it's buggy, or if I am just missing the means to open it right now, or if I can't open it because I'm never going to be able to open it.
Having it pay attention to where you're facing could help with this one, at least.

For both, maybe just narrowing down all the "hit boxes" could fix it, or if two are near each other, have it do a menu to select which one you're trying to interact with. Example: when cat is by the door, and you try to interact with one of them, it opens a menu to have to select "cat" or "front door."

3. I took off my character's clothes after the dream, and then was stuck in the house because I could find no way to put them back on after doing all the things around the house naked. I think I soft-locked the moment I took them off.

4. It'd be nice to know what the hell those meters are. You might think they're obvious, but I don't.

5. Relatively speaking, this one is minor: This might be part of a mystery or something, but the box I collected I couldn't open (despite the note about it strongly implying I could), and then it vanished the next day?

The fuck? You said it wasn't reversible. Eve said it was.
Explain how, "this isn't in the game," is gentle guidance to figure it out for yourself.
I'll save you the trouble: It's not. If it's reversible and you flat out stated it wasn't, then that's either ignorance or a lie.
*Sigh*

Alright, I will just give up with the "Try to give hints and let the people diverge"-thing, since maybe my lack of experience in English might give out another message that I'm not aware off.

Glad to know that there is still many game breaking bugs and hardlocks in the game with out a consistent save system, i realy love redoing hours of boring dialogues coz the game is chock full of hardlocks.... like iff you talk to Yuri three times in the coffee shop at the start you will get hardlocked and you have to alt f4, or at the start iff you speed up the potion making 1 vial just dissapears and you have to restart the whole game....... god i realy love wasting hours for nothing, gj making the save system as bad as possible... we cant just save anywhere no no no, that way you wouldnt lose literal hours of progress onnce you hardlock your self from a game bug and where is the fun in that right?!...
I played for like 4 hours and i found like 4 different game ending bugs gj....
edit: 5 gamebugs. the game just crashes when you try to work in the neko-bar.
