HTML College Daze [v0.540b Bugfix] [G28]

I haven't played in a while so my game is still version 0.510b but assuming that there are no changes to that particular passage, it's because of some quick copy pasting of code causing a certain condition to be overlooked.

This is a pseudo code representation of the relevant parts of the passage:

if nadir's personality has been changed:
    stuff
else if nadir's husband is bimbofied or forced to acknowledge your relationship with her:
    stuff
else if nadir is engaged to you or nadir is divorced (or maybe it was just separated?):
    stuff
    (problem is this nested conditional)
    if nadir is engaged and ward is pregnant:
        stuff, including links
    else if nadir is engaged:
        stuff, including links
    end if
else:
    stuff
end if

As you can see, you can reach the nested conditional if nadir is divorced (or separated?), but it doesn't take into account what to show if that is the case. It only shows the text and links if nadir is engaged, probably because it was copied from other parts of the whole if structure and not enough care was taken in modifying it.

I don't have any suggestions to modify the html file since that would involve actually writing a few lines of narration, but you can try typing either SugarCube.Engine.play('EveningHub230aStart1') or, if ward is pregnant too, SugarCube.Engine.play('Ward510aPregTalk1') into the console.

Does anyone know why my game just can't load anymore dialogue options?
I'm on August 21st, and in the middle of Nadir telling me she's pregnant but I'm getting no options to do or say anything, it's just blank down there, completely locking any means of progression

If you didn't already try a different fix, the links above work when I loaded your save.

If you want constant updates then become a patron, there you get weekly builds, voting power, and access to the Discord which does have extras. Otherwise G28's dev cycle is roughly 3 months, and that alternates between his 2 games, so if you only follow 1 game the cycle appears more like a minimum of 6 months without hearing much.

It's not that there's nothing happening, it's that you are not within earshot. Updates are happening all the time, just not for the public builds.

Seems you missed what I meant about alternating dev cycles. When G28 is working on Power of Will, there is no progress being worked on for Collage Daze, and vice versa. So yes, during this time there are no weekly or monthly update for this game, because this game is not being worked on at the moment. The current dev cycle is on Power of Will, G28 has already stated on his most recent Patreon post that when the next public Power of Will update goes out then he will switch back to Collage Daze. It has been this way for multiple years, trust me I do get it, but I don't let it bother me in the slightest.

Nah... I ve been following this game for a loooong time and Ive also followed POW for a bit. It's 100% slowed down and Im not saying he has to speed up for me. He can do what he wants. Im just saying that I lost interest. Have a nice day.

Honestly i’m worried Power of Will is going to end up being like College Daze with a lot of characters that have no relevance to the game’s overall Story/Narrative.
I’m hoping the next update we get for College Daze will focus more on the characters that are relevant/important to the story instead of wasting time on characters that have no relevance to the story.

Honestly i’m worried Power of Will is going to end up being like College Daze with a lot of characters that have no relevance to the game’s overall Story/Narrative.

I'm honestly having trouble thinking of characters who aren't important to the story in some way or another. Your roommate isn't part of the conspiracy at all, but they're the one who tells you about the disappearances from the perspective of a mere mortal, and allow contrast to your paranormal adventures (they're trying to sleep when Rio shows up to alert you to the danger). Rio helps to further pull you in to the conspiracy while still offering a human perspective to the battle between demons, but she still had to come from somewhere, hence her parents, who act as origin and motivation. Her roommate gives you an alternative way of meeting and interacting with her (outside of having enough sense to appreciate best girl). With Sofia you get her family, because it wouldn't make any sense for a freshman to exist in a vacuum.

Wracking my brain, the only character I could think to cut is one of the younger nuns. I can't even remember their names.

I think Hana's relevant in that she gives Brittany a friend who isn't secretly her genderbent ex-boyfriend. It couldn't be Kayla because of the rift between Karen and Emma, and Brittany's drug use and Kayla likely knowing where the drug comes from. No, I think Hana's just relevant enough.

Monica does need more love, though I understand it's hard to write for someone who's been mentally broken by torture and who's actress may not have enough videos.
