It's not needed. The game creates an autosave everytime you have to make a decision. If you make a bad choice just load the last autosave and try something else.

Of course it does... It's a stupid addition of unnecessary work to do something that's natural to the game... A bad design decision... How long do you take to press esc, reload the game compared to just scroll back? To change that, habilitate the console (if you don't know how to do it, check the spoiler bellow) and type:

config.rollback_enabled = True
