What a silly contention. So providing maybe 2 or 3 wallpaper images in a month vs. 100+ times that many, and dialogue, and plot development, and coding, and....
Personally, I don't find lack of animations in a game a reason to stay away from it. There are many games I play that don't have those, and it's just fine for me. The quality of renders alone makes it worth playing IMO.
Not to mention animations make up at most 10% of any AVN ive played assuming said AVN is heavy on lewd scenes. It does feel a bit weird at first when you are used to them but yeah not a big deal for me either.

I've said this in threads for other games in the past - I'd much rather have a game with no animations than a game where the dev felt pressured into adding animations when they didn't want to/aren't good at making them, and you wind up with janky or bad animation in general.

I understand why some would hate no animations, as it feels like norm and off to not have any at first. But I agree with you I rather have a story than animations which would be maybe 10% of a game give or take.
People have been whacking off to nothing but still images or text for literally all of human history until the 20th century. I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of being accustomed to the "moving pictures" format that's the barrier, like Dessolos suggests. But still images can be plenty erotic, as can text without any images whatsoever. Marquis De Sade, Kama Sutra, Greek and Roman sculptures and even dishware, Egyptian papyrus with erotica, naughty pottery in Peru, the manual by Marcantonio Raimondi, Lolita, Jin Ping Mei,...

I have seem comments like that first one and yes, there are people that do not pay enough attention to dialogue but consider what qvcatullus said. Because I am totally aware it was said, I just do not like it more because of that. I staved off of writing a review because if that point (or it's change) becomes noticable during the plot development over the whole finished VN then I might think differently on it. Currently it is just a lack of something I personally think would improve atmosphere. That is how opinions can differ. So we'll see how it turns out in the end.
