not sure if I'm more curious and eager to see how the Ren/Clara thing plays out or how Jacky gets on, well second to wanting to see what way Nael is gonna go all fire and brimstone on the dudes who got Gab.

Man, I hate this Clara/Ren thing. Also, why wouldn't Clara tell MC that she is being possessed by Ren? Seems stupid not to mention it when they literally just went to talk to Nael and it would've been something easily solved by her.

Also, on a unrelated note, what ever happened to Takeshi? He seemed to know about Dark Ones when he mentioned it in the game tournament thing, but then he never appeared again. I was sure he was going to be revealed to be a Companion later and be someone relevant...
The MC knew about Ren trying to possess Clara. He had Noel force Ren out and teach Eda how to resist her influence a little bit. They were supposed to talk to Nael about it but they got very distracted talking about Amy’s condition. Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, that is probably the reason Nael made a commandment that Amy’s condition could only be discussed with her present. If Noel would have confirmed what the MC suspected before they got to Nael, then the MC probably wouldn’t have been nearly as distracted when they met and the MC would have remembered to ask about Ren. All the evidence points to Nael wanting what is happening with Ren to happen so it kind of makes sense why she made the commandment.

I doubt it. Its been stated more than once that Claire is like a mom to MC.

Dia would be nice though. I love her style.
I dont think that was an issue lol, i'm gonna be honest that i really love the story of this game and the reason i dont play this game earlier and much further into the story because i'm not really fond of the renders despite me as a huge HS fan, so i put this game aside and only recently pick it up. and after the latest chapter only Claire,Dia and Jackie looks attractive to me than the rest of the LI, even i liked the teacher at the first chapter more than the current LI lol.

I’m guessing that the Clara, Ren, Sword, and Eda combo will be pretty even with if not slightly more powerful than the MC. Judging by what we have seen from Ren so far, forming an actual bond that isn’t just possession would probably do her some good. It is clear that she really wants approval from Nael more than anything though so who knows if it will actually happen. If it does, that would be yet another primordial at the MCs disposal. If Ren joins the team either by bonding with the MC or Clara that will make four out of the seven primordials directly influenced by the MC. Five if you count Nael which I don’t.
I doubt Ren will bond with MC. She is far too arrogant and egotistical to be able to harmonize well with Noel, Cia and Amy. I can see Noel getting along with her because she is a sweetheart, but Cia and Amy will hate her when they see her true self. She will most likely end up being defeated and going back to her castle or bond with Clara.

Although, I don't think that combo will be stronger than MC because of Clara. Ren is strong because she herself is controlling Clara body, but if they bond, then no matter how strong she is, Clara won't be able to keep up. If she could, she wouldn't even need Ren, Eda was already more than strong enough to beat down Unus without breaking a sweat. Still, I hope this incident makes Clara start to train and get stronger. Its a waste to have Eda, a martial arts master, as a Dark One and not be able to use her powers at all.

I agree with you. The conversation between Eda and Clara is a good indicator that Clara will train in the future. For me, the whole debacle is the perfect situation for Clara to undergo a bit of character development: the aforementioned training and becoming more independent from Claire.

Who knows, maybe Ren will end up as Claire's Dark One. It would make sense: both have bad personalities and would deserve each other.

If that really happens, we can probably set a hourglass to count down the time until Claire commits her next act that qualifies as a war crime.

I don’t know if egotistical is how I would describe Ren. She strikes me as more of a cunning, calculating, and devoted dark one. It seems like everything she does is to please Nael which isn’t something a self centered ego driven individual would focus on. As for her getting along with the current trio, everyone gets along with Noel by default unless their jealousy becomes an issue which could be the case with Ren. I’m sure that Ren would be very jealous of Noel for how much attention she gets from her sister. Cia would probably have the most issues if Ren did bond to the MC because she already feels inferior to Amy and Noel. Adding yet another dark one to that mix could actually be good for her personal character development but she definitely wouldn’t like it. Amy would probably be pretty indifferent to it. She hasn’t really displayed any indication that she has an issue with the MC having additional bonds. In fact, Amy likes Ren and even Arsa who wasn’t exactly helpful to her in her first few moments as a dark one. Yeah, it may be a bit different if Ren were to drop the act but I doubt it.

The Clara/Ren combo I believe has the potential to be stronger or at the very least equally as strong as the MC. Think about it, Clara now has a primordial, an A rank dark one who specializes in nullifying other dark ones abilities and martial arts, Ren’s magnum opus which is probably significant since Noel once said that Rens ability to shape dark ones energy is nearly on par with her sister, and finally Clara has that special ability to direct the flow of a dark ones energy. The MC has two primordials and an A rank dark one, so to me, the playing field feels pretty even if not skewed toward the Clara/Ren combo.

Ren doesn't like males though does she it would be weird for her to bond with the mc.
I am just looking at it practically. Ren doesn’t seem like a villain that should be written out of the story by being defeated and to really keep her involved in the story it is either going to have to be through Clara, the MC, or another character allied with the MC. Clara as far as we know can’t make two bonds like the MC can so if she is bonding with anyone, it has to be either the MC or another person allied with the MC (I have been thinking that Jackey coming back into the story right now may not be an accident. Her and Ren may get along well since it feels like they have similar personalities.). Of course, she could just be written out of the story by being defeated but I feel like that would be a bit of a waste. Her motivations aren’t exactly selfish or evil. She is looking to prove herself to Nael. Her original plan was for no blood to be spilled at all but Claire and Unis had her killing for them. Ren just wanted to covertly poses Clara and wait until Claire died to take over the high order. The only thing she has done that you could consider evil would be possessing Clara but even then it is hardly evil since she made a point of letting Clara make the choice to take the sword. At worst she is morally grey who can absolutely be redeemed.

If you want to talk about characters who need to be put in their place, we still have Tessah, Dia, and Zero to deal with. Tessah isn’t really evil but she needs to be brought down about fifteen pegs. Dia and Zero I feel are closer to actual evil.

The things she did with Claire in France was evil though besides Noel i dont think any dark one Cares enough about human life to be good or evil they only seem to care about the human they are bound too and there spot in the hierarchy. So maybe you are right feels weird for her to be bound to a male though, I expect her earlier to bind to Claire then a male personally
