AVNSNAX said on discord was going to the hospital to deal with some medical complications from some surgery of years ago so we won't know until she also knows how is her health situation.
A quick status post
For those who have sent me get well wishes and expressed their concern over my condition, thank you! I’ve been back at home since Monday, and although it pretty much hurts to do anything, a friend managed to set up a temporary workstation for me using a standing desk. I’ve been working on some animations for the past couple of days, because I can kick them off and let them run for HOURS (!) while I recuperate. All the while crossing my fingers that they turn out okay (they often don’t.) I still can’t sit upright, but standing for an hour at a time seems to be okay.
I did manage to complete the August 4K renders for our upper tier Patreon and SubscribeStar supporters, so they’ll be going out on the 1st as usual. They’re not the most involved, but I’m fairly proud of the photographic nature of the results. Pretty proud of them!

Working on it. Please be patient. Chapter 9 is currently sitting at 1152 renders and 22 animations, with about 25 renders and 5 animations to go. And that, working about an hour or two at a time thanks to recent events...

"Exception that proves the rule" comes to mind. Just because I'm also ignoring the last update of RSSU waiting for the proper one it doesn't mean I'm not foaming at the mouth at playing about a hundred games simultaneously and STILL not having anything to play any given weekend...You're saying that to a person who is happily ignoring the latest update of Lisa until the bugfixed version is released

I am sad that the situation (If I am thinking of the right one) didn't return to normal. You are a warrior fighting the good fight and working on, I hope, what is still your passion project. Hoping it helps deal with those events. I appreciate your dedication. I just hope it does not make you worst.

Thanks. But I really am getting much better. I'm up to a few hours of sitting upright at a time, and I expect that by this time next week I'll be back to my normal work schedule. As it stands, it was lucky that most of what I had left to do to finish chapter 9 was animations. It's more about lying back and waiting for my workstation to churn through a bunch of work than sitting and having to interact with it hour by hour. It's currently in hour 10 of a 15- or 16-hour animation cycle. Chapter 9 deals with lust, guilt, regret, revenge, and discovery. We get closer to solving Alex's abduction; we learn more about Suzie, and the events leading up to the start of Alex's transformation; and Alex, um, gets busy.

Personal news
Aside from a few aches and pains, I'm back to a normal development schedule. I can sit upright for hours at a time, but still need to take breaks a couple of times a day to lie down. I can't say it often enough—thanks to everyone for your kind words of support and encouragement. After the public release next month, I'm finally going to take a few weeks off before digging into the Chapter 10 finale.

So, funnily enough I was listening to the Wilosophy podcast yesterday (a podcast hosted by Aussie comedian Wil Anderson, his guest on this particular episode was fellow Aussie comic Tommy Dassalo). Part of the discussion revolved around the gross feeling they get when promoting their work with the counter-point that it is ridiculous to spend time making something intended to be seen by others and then not spend time telling those people that the work in question exists
Yeah, yeah, yeah I know. Deep down, detached from my personal biases against snake oil purveyors, I realize it needs to be done. But still ... ewwwwwwww! I feel so violated.
