In my first draft, the separation between Glenn and Jordan didn't happen until much later. It created the problem that Glenn was essentially "off-limits" for any further lewd development until really late in the story. The drama of Jordan's being away originally built up more slowly over time. Now it just hits you over the head, and I've hoped that people would assume that it just had been happening continually over a long period.
We're still in the expository chapters. The shower scene was just the last straw. More to come.

There are three endings to the story. Well, four, I guess, depending on how you look at things. They're varying degrees of how much less "confused" Alex is at the end of the story...
To paraphrase Forrest Gump, "Horny is as horny does." And we are talking about a bunch of 20-year-olds here (19 in the case of Zoey). Chris is just sexually frustrated by the fact that she's in a "relationship" but isn't getting any satisfaction from it. And they've been going out for a while. Chris's having hooked up with Zoey in a moment of weakness (and tequila) and the fact that Zoey is one of those people that falls head-over-heels in love at the drop of a hat is supposed to explain rationales, including Alex. Maybe I need to be more specific in future dialog...
Alex's date with Brad comes in the next chapter. I don't know that I'd call it a "route," but yes, Alex will interact with some men.
Thanks for the kind words. The whole theme of the novel is gender confusion. It's been a stated goal from the onset to treat these characters as whole human beings, regardless of orientation. (Except for Kevin. He's a rutting gorilla...) The drama stems from strangers unreasonably assigning expectations to gender and then causing trouble when those expectations aren't met. There is obviously going to be fetishization of characters (for the same reason) just because of the nature of the work, so I'm walking a bit of a tightrope trying to keep things real.
You are so much more, Snax... so much more than you even know. Epic story... chomping at the bit for more.
I truly hope you do manage to do it, while keeping the obvious respect and care you've shown so far. It's quite easy in this medium to forget or ignore that they are supposed to be human characters, multi-dimensional and unrestricted by expectations, so far, you've managed it. Alex and Chris are very well presented. Elaine, and Sam, need more development, I am sure it will come. I seriously doubt that Elaine will remain as is, it's too much on the nose. The mother, great job so far, needs some softening, but, is believable so far.
The thing with Jordan is that although in the previous chapter you can already see that he cheats on Glenn, I didn't expect him to care so little about his daughters, lol. I mean, both he and Glenn were supportive of Alex's transition, so at the very least he cared in the past.
Stats. The short answer is no. I didn’t want the story to be about “racking up points” to achieve a particular outcome. Life rarely works out that way. I wanted people to play the game holistically and react as they might if they were in the given situation. But enough people said something about wondering if choices had any consequence at all that I compromised by reporting changes as they happen. Plus, from a purely selfish point of view, I wanted to limit the number of endings to a handful. The more branches you have, the more parallel storylines you have to develop. Then there is all of the testing and bug fixes to ensure that individual storylines don't affect or are affected by others. Plus it's potentially geometrically more work. I knew the exact story I wanted to tell, and wanted to get it out as quickly as possible. The analogy is that of more of a mini-series than an epic movie franchise. I'll get to Star Wars eventually; in the meantime, I need to finish Jonny Quest.Your story and main characters are interesting, I certainly prefer this kind of story with context in the relationships and interactions between the characters, even if it is a story with a focus on sex. I would hug poor Alex
By the way, is there any way to check your "stats"? Certain decisions increase or decrease those stats, but I don't know if there's a way to check them.
If you don't know Shattered, I think it's a game you'd like. Good characters, elaborated interactions between them, nice world building, and of course horny sex.
It's also the more PITA for the player...
I'll let others answer as to what they think, but keep in mind it's only the third of ten chapters. I guess you could say that it's "woke" in that the VN's goal is not to be just a fetishized series of sex scenes to fap to. Notice I said "just." There's a story to be told...
