from what I've seen so far, why do I have the feeling that corrupted Ava is going to try and corrupt Sarah to break Ava and make her give in?

My take is that Corrupted Ava is influencing Ava to see her sister Sarah (which is Ava's protector and moral anchor) as evil, Sarah is willing to go towards Machiavellian means to protect Ava, including abandoning or outright killing innocent people. Meanwhile Ava is feeding Ava whit the idea that zombies or being a zombie is not that bad, and that humans are worst (e.g. the hooligans). All this with the purpose of turning Ava against Sarah and facilitating her corruption and take over by Ava.

True, that was just my guess with what was show in the last chapter, the author could easily flip the scrip in the next chapter.

Sarah will do anything to protect Ava, including killing potential zombies. But Ava empathizes with those people who are about to turn since she is in a similar situation, and fears that her sister will ultimately kill her. I don't think it has anything to do with Ava thinking that zombies are okay. Otherwise, Ava would be running toward the zombies, not away from them.
You are correct in what you say that Ava's alter-ego is attempting. But so far, Ava is resisting those temptations.
no eta for the moment, the dev did said they aim for the usual 2 - 3 month update cycle.
last update was in LATE December so imo the next one probably around March or early April

The devs made clear they only do good endings (though there might be 2 decisions at the end). And also they wrote that this was it with ava's dreams! Which means we would need to see an corrupted Ava in game-"RL". Also they did note to focus more on monsters from now on! It's also been made clear, that one of the major players will make it's appearance - someone we already heard of. And few more stuff that makes it unlikely. So, in summary, I agree with arqupang, that this likely wont be it.
Overal l am eager to see which kind of monsters will appear "Xutora has been working on building a new area and creating a few new monsters for the new upcoming scene." and what of my many theories I can strike out
as it seems the story will narrow down quickly with each update now.

that sounds like a pretty good take, and it does sound like something a corrupted variant of ones self, trying to get the original to give into them, would do.
