There have been 1.7 million views on this game thread. Please explain how that is not advertising for the dev, and what other methods to promote small scale adult VN's there are that are more effective? It's bad for the dev. He makes just under $380 a month, a lot of which goes to Patreon. Assets for DAZ are anything but cheap, especially since there are also license fees. I don't even want to talk about the music. Licenses for music tracks usually cost more than the dev earns per month. F95 is not advertising either. This myth doesn't get any truer the more you repeat it. Many devs have found that as soon as their AVN is leaked here, no new patrons are added for quite a while. It used to be different, yes. But those days are long gone. Ultimately, this form of piracy only harms the genre. If devs can no longer finance the creation of their AVN, they will stop working on it and we as players will only have AVN with abandon tags.
All good. It's fine.

How long between updates again? I'd wager the dev having only 95 patrons has more to do with the slow update cycle than anything else. I like the game but it's one I don't pay that much attention to because it doesn't update enough to pay attention to it.It's bad for the dev. Right, but that isnt what the other person is saying. I'm in the same boat as you, there are just too many devs and games that either never finish or change halfway through development for me to support them anymore. I'll gladly buy a finished game, but the number of devs I sub to is incredibly small now compared to what it was a few years ago.He said that although F95 has a lot of users and promotes the game, the conversion rate nowadays is very low.
I can speak for myself, I stopped supporting many games because the development time is currently very long. I believe it's because many devs have stopped working from home. Currently, I only support games by buying them in early access on Steam. I use F95 just to check the reviews and user comments.
This is true, but only for new games. Completely new. Look when this thread was launched, four years have passed. What kind of advertising can there be now for game that old? And most of the developers who started promoting their games on f95 are now distancing themselves from the Zone in every possible way, have deleted their accounts here and forbid mentioning it in their official discord channels. And there are plenty of places to present a new game, Reddit for example. But I guess that wasn't the point of Tremonia's post.Right, but that isnt what the other person is saying. They are saying hosting games here actively hurts the smaller devs, which is insane to me. What other methods of advertisement do they have? How else would people find the game of some random dev with 20 subs. They are not losing out on subs because these people would never have known the game existed anyways.
Thanks for being a normie, explaining the point.I just dont know who this game is for... so boring.

Really good visuals
Further discussion based on the feedback for this latest update ...this is creeping depression in art form
1.7 million views and just around 90 Patreons. There're ways to promote AVN. You underestimate the bubble outside. There have been 1.7 million views on this game thread. Ah, that's why devs like DarkCookie, DrStinkCheese, SFS, etc. have only a hand full Patreons. Didn't thought of that. Thank you for helping me see things more clearly. How long between updates again? This is the only game on this site that's like this (that I have seen). Maybe, just maybe, there is a group of people who like this game, who dont think its "incomprehensionable" or ridiculous. why are you even in the thread just to insult itA surprising number of purist fetishists around here enjoy dire, dumb, incomprehensionable, dumpsterfire, ridiculous stories where their protagonist is purposefully stomped on constantly - they call it art+drama+good story - they enjoy their 5 o'clock murder and rape and gore news too much in their games.
any eta for the update?Multi-Mod:
-Adds hints in dialogues that give points for the MC.
-Adds cheats option at the quick menu.
-Option to change MC's name, nick and surname (you can access it at the start of the game or when you choose "change names" in the cheat screen).
-Added gallery at the main menu.

It doesn't take much thought to understand that the market for these games is crowded and anyone making a game will be competing against other games. If you only update once a year then that is on you and not the potential patrons.1.7 million views and just around 90 Patreons. There're ways to promote AVN. You underestimate the bubble outside.

Wanted to reply to this directly.A surprising number of purist fetishists around here enjoy dire, dumb, incomprehensionable, dumpsterfire, ridiculous stories where their protagonist is purposefully stomped on constantly - they call it art+drama+good story - they enjoy their 5 o'clock murder and rape and gore news too much in their games.
Oh, I see, it's all very deep, philosophical, and sophisticatedWanted to reply to this directly.
The protagonist is disturbed in a number of ways and thrashing about trying to better himself while fighting against his own ego and arrogance.
In the previous chapters the protagonist's efforts were mostly turned inward. It was about how to become formidable, effective and self confident. Now that he sorted out his own garden he needs to learn how to play nice with others and work as a team. He also needs to learn that nobody reached the top alone through their solo effort, they had help.
The overarching theme here is the protagonist has to build an army with himself as the focal point. He needs allies and he needs to manage conflict correctly across a wide array of disparate personalities. He also need to understand there is quid pro quo and that he is rising to the top and can take a bunch of "his people" with him. Those could be Charles, Fleur, Zoe, Vicky etc. And I suspect even his current employees may be a part of that once everyone gets their come to jesus moment.
This story is British as fuck and I can see lots of elements of an old 2006 movie I enjoyed, it's called "Cashback"
Here's the trailer. You guys tell me if you can spot the similarities. The protagonists seem similar to me.
In summary the story of that movie is the protagonist gets dumped and develops a bad case of insomnia where he can't sleep at all. Rather than dying he gains the ability to control time and goes through some ruminating depression trying to piece his life back together again.
