If you expect any kind of intimacy or affection with Elsa, so far this game aint got it. v0.7 lol
Should probably drop the 'romance' tag all together until the dev actually includes some. All we've got thus far is a cringe inducing obsession over the first "love interest", friend-zoning from another, then if you so choose; using and abusing a third.

I really liked this game at first but it has been hard to root for the MC for a long time now, not due to the lack of sex (or love), but because of the MC's unreal ignorance while dialoguing as intelligent and witty. He has next to no redeeming qualities either which is why I totally get why Elsa is likely dating the IT guy on the low.

I've been baffled for the entire latter half of this game but I'm still holding out hope that in maybe 2 years when it's finished, there's SOME sort of substance here for a premise that I was actually excited about.
1) This won't be finished in 2 years. Most likely we'll have 1 maybe 2 updates;

2) I agree with the fact that this 0.7 update is quite disappointing when you hoped that something might have happened between Ed and the 2 main girls and it didn't happen;

3) as I've already written here, we should always remember that Edward is a looney, in fact;

4) I don't think Elsa is dating any character we have seen till now.

Reading most of the comments that you people are posting as of lately, I am under the impression that I must be one of the very few people that enjoyed the last update. I don't mind the slow pace at all. Writing is still good in my book, and that's what matters to me the most. The only downside I can see in this is that it's gonna take for the dev many more years to finish this project, as long as he remains true to his ideas and don't rush things unnecessarily, that is.

Of course you're not alone, bro, just imho, most people who liked the update agree with the Jufot's post, to which it's hard to add something.

This downside you mentioned is common to many decent games, especially when it's a side project for the developers to their full-time job. They can usually work on the project instead of rest on workdays or/and on weekends, which isn't exactly conducive to quick updates.

I agree with a lot of people. My biggest problems are the pacing is too slow, there is no progression whatsoever, it is ridiculous. But another huge problem is the constant chasing of Alice. Everything he does is for her, dates, getting resdy for Alice, moving up in company, for Alice. Everything is about Alice, that the other "supposed love interests" feel like it won't even matter if we choose them, because everything is about Alice in this game. Don't get me wrong I love Alice, but I would love the option to choose other girls and not it all be about 1 character. Like imagine if other popular Avn's did this.

So, what would a comfortable pace look like? And what kind of progression do you expect? What do you think the author should do?

Other popular AVNs can get by just fine with only two LIs. Just saying.

It is pretty clear, a better pace would be showing more romance and interaction between supposed li's in this game that is meaningful. Someone already pointed out giving a gift to Elsa and nothing, who cares, she didn't. No interaction feels meaningful except Alice, beause everything mc does is so that he can get her and just her. This visual novel feels like it has 1 love interest most of the time.

Yes, I see, that's what I thought, but I decided to check just in case. :HideThePain:

Not going to address the pacing, but...

This entire game is about the MC chasing after Alice - she's his obsession, his 'white whale'. That is the story that this developer is telling; add other LIs along the way and it's some other developer's story. You don't ask Melville to have Ahab go salmon fishing. [No, I'm not comparing sqwl's writing to Melville's, but the situation is comparable.]

The question arises, though: When (if ever) is the MC going to finally realize that there are other fish in the sea. [Okay, I'll stop with the fish-y references.] My personal guess is that will only happen near (or at) the end of the game. But that is my personal opinion, and only the developer knows the truth of the matter.

Buuuuuuuuut, there's a path where Ed is porking Lucy.

The problem is Ed - Elsa relationship. I saw a trace of a hint of some changing between them in this last update: Ed makes a compliment about her beauty and he clumsily gives her a present.

IMHO the whole point is: what does Elsa feel for our Eddie the Looney?

Unless Ed achieves his peak potential(which is far, considering he is having a hard time managing those 3 simpletons), something Elsa can see in him. I don't think anything like love will develop just yet. She's just guiding him at the moment.

I agree, but my question is: what does she feel for Edward right now? they're friends, I guess, but... what kind of friendship is this now?

Mentor-student, master-slave-ish relationship...? That's probably the closest thing I can describe their current relationship. In my opinion though she is opening up to him a little but ultimately she probably see's him as a friend, like you stated, I don't know what you wanted to hear but that's just it, friend, best friend even lmao. But with the lack of information, for example Elsa's boyfriend? Elsa's intentions? Like why Elsa approached Ed early on the game? No such thing as a coincidence, she's no idiot and she made friends with MC's circle real quick? There's really no telling what kind of friendship this will be, but hoping this friends with benefits of theirs will get a bit more sexual in the future.

The problem is that while this story might make more sense, it is less interesting to play through, so we're left with an underwhelming result. Either you go full novel which requires a massive amount of talent and work, quite literarily, or you go AVN and throw some sex into the plot to make the ride more pleasant, quite literally.

this game could be so much better than it is. For a game that has been in development for almost 5 years now not much has happened.
I like this game everything prior to 0.6 before the promotion. Since then the pacing feels off and i can't get invested in the other characters aside from the main LIs (esp. Matt and Vicky. They don't feel like real people) . But I still have faith in the author to turn things around. On an unrelated note Elsa is the best girl.
Sure, Elsa is the best girl) At least she never opens her mouth))

I can't believe this visual novel is real. The story is so deep, the nuances are of incredible quality. At times it questions and criticizes life in its own way and manages to do it very cleverly. His attention to detail is admirable, he makes me feel that there is a life outside the main character. There is so much I could say about this novel and so much praise, but I don't speak English and if I keep writing, the translation tool will ruin the writing.

I just want to say that this visual novel is not for everyone. Most people want things to be simple and nobody can blame them. For some people this novel is a masterful gem.
