All those problems are the same, not really made up for by the 3rd act additions. Similarly, you can see the communities displeasure with changes in the thread, but here's a mostly complete list of problems.
New, worse UI. Admittedly, I dont have first hand experience with this, but I hate when people mess with things like the UI. It very rarely grants tangible upgrades.
New timeslot system. Instead of the standard Morning-Afternoon-Evening you usually see in free-roam projects, we have an actual in game clock. This wouldn’t be so bad if it didn't halt the game so you can watch an animation of the time literally ticking down after every event. IIRC, even skipping only sped it up, whereas the previous system just jumped you to the next segment in the day as is standard.
There's new "visual novel" style text SFX that makes little beeps as the text scrawls for dialogue. Our dev even added unique sounds for each of the important characters. The problem is that all of these sounds are ear-grating and just sound like midi trash. There's no option to turn it off, so I resorted to unpacking the audio rpa and literally deleting the sfx to fix the problem. I was already unpacking because Benjamin Tissot's "Sexy" is the worst fucking music to pick for a sex scene, so I replaced it with much more fitting music of my own. (Stop fucking using that devs. Spend two minutes on dova-syndrome or something please I beg.)
None of those may bother you much, but it really grates on me personally. Add on to the fact that this takes away from time that could have been spent doing anything else, including simply writing the next bits of story, and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. The changelog may look like a lot has been added, but it took several updates for some characters to get micro-arcs that most devs would have done in a single patch release. Quantifiable progress has been replaced with inane aspects that are sidegrades at best and experience ruining at worst. Your mileage may vary, but I'm awaiting a serious update myself before playing on further.
