Well, DEV have informed he wil make a major overhall of the game, a lot of us fear the worst. Act 3 nearly ruined the game at the start, but along the road changes have made it better. Then he started change the UI, and god knows its gone down the drain.
Dev dont listen to the players and the list of fails, errors and glitches are long as a toilet role, and he just make more and more failures to correct, meanwhile people pay him a lot of money, but for what.......

Rashida Tlaib, Demokratic member of Congress USA: "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free"
I think the Dev took a serious hit on his income after Act 3 dropped and everything nearly went to hell in a handbasket, and that's kinda what prompted the changes which made him implement a host of changes to at least make it bearable. I can't be certain, but while he doesn't listen to the overall player base (reminding me of the Lessons in Love dev in that regard), I think he's learned some from his past experience after Act 3 dropped.

Bro at least Concord knew what it wanted to be at this point in its development cycle.

Played this multiple times over the years. When Act 3 got released with that GOD AWFUL combat minigame, I pretty much checked out and haven't come back. Was gonna start again but from the looks of it this game is pretty dead. Sad to see. Had a ton of potential but the direction that Act 3 went was AWFUL. RIP.

I’ve just reached Act 3 and, honestly, the game takes a turn — and not in a direction I’m enjoying.

I’ve seen talk of an overhaul, but I’m wondering if that includes a rework of Act 3. Right now, it feels like a completely different game set in the same world, and it’s made me hesitant to keep playing, which is a shame because I was really enjoying it up to this point.

I gave Act 3 a fair shot, but it’s just not my cup of tea. The new combat system, in particular, feels awkward and out of place. I appreciate that there’s currently an option to auto-win combat, but for me, that’s not the only issue. Even earlier on, the grind to buy and upgrade items was a bit much — though thankfully, there are laptop options to add money and crystals to skip that, similar to the combat auto-win. That said, it’s unclear how long those cheats will stick around since it mentions the money cheats are temporary (can’t recall if it says the same for combat). For comparison, when Harem Hotel evolved, it still felt like the same game — just with a shift in tone. It didn’t completely overhaul core mechanics or introduce features that felt like they were chasing a trend.

One small but important thing: I used the mod someone shared to remove that beepy notification sound, and in my opinion, it makes the game much more pleasant to play. That noise got pretty grating over time.

I hope future updates smooth out some of these rough patches because there’s a good foundation here, and it’d be a shame to see it get buried under clunky mechanics and unnecessary grind.

Does anyone perhaps have an earlier version of the game for example 0.19.8 where the dungeon content still exist? can anyone please post it? I would really appreciate it.

anyone know whats goin on there hasnt been any update for months
Dev started digging their own grave in act 3, added new mechanics late game that no one asked for, tried fixing what wasn't broken, and if that wasn't enough they put most of development on hold to judge a fan art contest. Speaking of which

FAN ART CONTEST WINNERS!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated! All of you should feel extremely proud of what you achieved! Creating something and putting it out into the world for strangers to judge is incredibly courageous, and I wish that I could give each and every one of you the Grand Prize, because you all deserve it!
Sadly, there can only be three winners. And so, without further ado...
FIRST PLACE:
With 112 Votes: "Qarinah" by Mei!
SECOND PLACE:
With 102 Votes: "Veronica" by Tezz!
THIRD PLACE:
With 89 Votes: "Lilyyy" by ARTNeika2
The three winners will all receive a money prize, and their artwork will be available in-game as room decorations starting from the next update!
But wait, there's more! Each of the CK Mods also got to select one "pick" as their favourite, which will ALSO be getting made into in-game decorations! They are:
- "Where is Lyx" by Lukkuchi
- "Drunk Lily" by Zouelstar
- "Jessica" by Rend
- "Kana and the Festival" by MarbleRain25
- "New 'Uniform'" by Envy

Congratulations once again to the winners, and to everyone who took part! I loved each and every entry! <3
Hope to see you all again for the next contest!

I can understand that fan art contest actually, they've been digging themselves a hole in development for so long the one thing they needed most of all was trying to reconnect to the fanbase.

And the contest helped in that? :HideThePain:
No one was asking for a fan contest to be honest.

There is no reconnecting with the fanbase anymore. If so he would listen to at least to some feedback but he continues to double down on bad decisions and to steer this game right into a brickwall. Ever since he added that god awfull new UI there is virtually no progress in development.

This contest was just a diversion and excuse not to work at the game for the moment.

Is he doing any fan service yet?
Or does he still enjoy antagonizing and throwing all valid criticism into a trash bin?

Don't follow the project this in depth anymore but I doubt this mindset would change.

Ever since he wrote once to long time fans and patreons that they should go play other games if they don't like the direction of this game anymore he lost any credibility for me. Pulled my monetary support years ago.

I just come by on occasion to see how far this corpse of a game has rotted since my last visit.

Truth be told, nostalgia is the only reason I keep checking on and playing this game on occasion...
I wonder if Arc is milking that...

No one asked for a lot of things, but the one thing a fan contest does do is get whoever's left in the Discord talking about the game, and it's an easy "See? We're listening to you" by adding the winning fanarts into the game to give people the impression the devs are listening to them.

You're right that it's the equivalent of an ice cream truck intended to get people to not look at the problems for a while, though they are kind of forced to implement the winning fanarts before people stop being distracted and start looking at game development again or it'll all come crashing down again.

People, I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews of Act 3, could someone tell me what's going on, did it include scenes not suitable for certain audiences, were they mistakes, or mechanics, I don't understand anything, if someone could explain to me what's going on I would appreciate it.

I may be missing a few things, but it included taking away MCs kids that a lot of players emotionally connected with, the entire feel of the game changing to the point of Act 3 feeling like a different game entirely instead of a continuation of the style of Act 1 and 2, and several UI and design choices that ended up making everything worse in terms of usability. And then the attempts to 'fix' these issues just ended up making an even bigger mess.

Some things were fixed, others... not so much, and Act 3 is generally treated as a textbook example of losing sight of your target audience. People that like Act 1 and 2 are unlikely to enjoy Act 3, and those that like Act 3-type gameplay will have generally stopped playing before reaching it.

I think "reconnecting with the audience" pretty much went tits up with the whole model swap debacle way back then. I have vague memories of skipping combat altogether and grinding for gems in act 3, so I can't say that was a fun experience either.
He had the ending of the game in sight, considering where the plot was headed, but for some reason decided to stretch it out even more with all that extra fluff. A fine example of overplaying your hand, I guess.
