With recent versions, the graphics with each save file that appear when you go to the Load menu item in the game take up so much room that there's only room for a handful of entries on each page. And ISTR that the first version I played that had that new Load menu format showed me a page with all blank entries, as it had somehow got its keeping track of the latest slave file in a muddle. But by clicking on < to go back through the screens I was eventually able to find my actual saves. So try that, if you haven't already.

seeing we didnt even see anyone from that place in act 3 yet i dont think so
we would most likely need an proper story continuation but seeing the most recent "Story" update i think arc is gonna focus more on unlocking the right side of the map first with the bridge and its stuff

Haven't played this game in so long since they implemented the battle thing, even fixing it to skip battle still lost the touch and feel of the game especially with my favorite character Pixie, she was the backbone of the game, her mouth was a rofl and dev seem to just kill her and same as story wise. I guess I will wait till game is completed.
