Once again, congrats on making progress- distortions are intimidating until you dive into them. What you're encountering is a normal side-effect of using tempt. Tempt does a few things post-battle:
-Locks in the distortion path- so T1 hate won't break from surround acts anymore and incorrect T3s won't begin to be used (no slaughter or explosion). Chosen end-of-battle acts from having their core T3s broken will no longer affect the corresponding Chosen with minor in that area. You still can break them out of that path by using red T2 moves.
-Adds to the relevant achievement.
-Reduces requirements for future tempts on that Chosen.
-Gives 100EE for the first use. You can then pursue despair/no distortion if you wish.
-Whenever the pink "tempt" move is used in battle, a 15EE downtime action will be used, no matter the Chosen's Trauma+Angst. This applies even if they would've used a 50EE action. While this obviously gives 15EE, it also resolves trauma and angst at that level, which is what happened to your Chosen.
You have a few options to deal with this last effect...
-1: Be conservative. This means you wait for the T3s to appear as slashes before using the tempt action. This can be dangerous as "incorrect" T3s may open and you'll have to add another consideration in avoiding their actual use. It's also obviously slower in the short term.
-2: Be aggressive. You got a bonus 115EE that round, can you use that to create a commander which will set up a 15 turn orgy? Does a 4turn, 3 capture, P/I/E commander with Networked Consciousness do the trick? If you can do that, the Chosen in L1 will have enough trauma to wear 1G of resolution per day.
-3: Crawl. Not applicable for your loop and definitely last resort in any case, but if you find that a combo of Undead EE drains, high city luxuries and difficult enemies means you never manage to get that large orgy going, you can use tempt to give you at least some EE generation.
So in your situation, I'd go for option 2 and if you absolutely cannot progress and are finding you're running out of time or incorrect T3 breaks are happening, go back and go for option 1.
