So...
I had a fucking day, and there's nothing to do in the mod. Therefore, I'll not update it today, and instead chill in front of the TV with a good beer
You'll have to wait the final update in one month or so, for the casino fix, sorry.
But before I'll go chill, I want to thanks you all.
Four and half years ago, I did a crazy move, releasing my first real mod for a Ren'Py game. And it was this one. I wasn't expecting much, the game being average and not having such big community in comparison of what can be found here. Yet at this day you're 447 to like it, and it's touching.
I feel a bit empty now that the game is completed and my mod near to be it too. So, I don't know for sure yet, I'll have first to look closely at it to see what can be done, but I'll probably follow Mr.C last words in the game "This story continues in Lust Village"... and so my modding career will probably also do.

My advice would be delay mod still further, since i think that mc did say that he will be still adding new content to this game.
As for future on making mods, atleast take small break, like couple months. After that see i you have time and motivation modding new games.
Ps. with out this mod Corruption game would have gome unplayable longtime ago, with mod geting random scenes are alot easyer and does not requare grinding.

Well, personally I would more say "only 4 years"... But it's surely because my baby girl was still living with me at this time. Feel like an eternity that a little brat (they all are, you'll see for those who've a daughter) stole my "best man of the world" place in her life
Well, I'll be honest, you costed me some sleep. But what you said led to one to the most important feature in the game, the possibility to go back in the corruption level. And later, the possibility to free the enslaved girls was added because this part was already present.
So, it's a well deserved honor, be sure of that.
I know, but he clearly put Corruption as secondary project now. Based on the time since the last update, there will be two, perhaps three updates years, it's not a too heavy load of works. What prevented me to fix the casino was, before everything else, was his "an update/month or so" schedule. There it would have be too much works. But if it's really punctually, it will be near to nothing.
And, who know, I'll perhaps even give a try to my idea and achieve to make it without having to even touch the code. Here again something that I don't really wanted to try on a game update so often, since it's purely experimental (and dirty, really dirty).

well it's not "just" this one mod.
aside form modding, you brought bits and pieces of knowledge about Ren'Py to those who aren't that versed or not interested enough to try the whole engine from scratch, i'm one of the "just somewhat curious" about the whereabout of this glitch or that flaw in that one game or the other. a little digging and found hints provided by AON in a way easy to digest. just sayin'. it's more than the mods.
right, about daughters.. i did let mine go find her way, with always one ear in phone reach, and a spare axe handle quickly to grab, if there's trouble with "that brat". she knows, and he does. grandkids always happy when grampa shows up.

Thanks for everything dude. I remember when I switched from Kinnerman's mod to yours, it was a huge difference. I definitely appreciated Kinnerman's work, but your mod was just so much more complete; you're a big reason why I started modding a lot of games just for myself and eventually put out a mod for Happy Summer to fix all the stupid stuff in that game, lol.So...

You've also always been so helpful whenever I had technically questions. Hopefully you'll be there to unfuck the eventual mess that Lust Village with be and maybe I'll help if I have some time. I've already made a bunch of changes to it on my end so I can already see where it's going. It's amazing that after all these years Mr.C is still so bad at doing simple scripting for his games.

Generally this is universal mod that should work on any version of game, there has been couple exceptions.Generally, can this mod be used for the latest version of the game? Is it better to wait for mod updates?

Well, I would lie if I say that it's not pleasing to read
From memory, it happened only once, when Mr.C changed the User Interface.
Yet, the mod just disabled the parts related to the said interface. Everything else, from the unrandomization, to the key combination adding potion or money, was still working fine for whoever used the previous version of the mod.
It's a bit more works for me, but I always (and will always) thought that it's a mandatory part for a non-intrusive mod. Since it can be used with future versions, the least it should do is to detect when a part can't works, and then disable this part without depriving the player from whatever can still works.
This way, whatever happen to me, the mod will continue to works, at least partially. I can go on long holidays, had to stay a long time in hospital, or whatever, you guys will still benefit from at least a part of the mod, the time I can come back and update it.

Not with my mods. There's an unsolvable (at least so far) error due to the way Joiplay handle the working environment.

Oh ! Well, it seem that they changed the way they handle the environment, interesting news.
Side note:
When I said "unsolvable", I was obviously talking from my own side.
The error at this time was that Ren'Py wasn't able to find the different Python files on which the mod rely ; and it happened to anyone who tried, so it wasn't just an installation error. For whatever reason, JoiPlay was hiding, or not recognizing those files, and obviously there's not much that I could have done to change that.

hmmmmm that could be some signed/unsigned issue like almost every windoze version had since early days of DEP; if said andruids rely on "already known" file versions, guurgle might behind the scene force the system to ignore new versions of the same file unles it's "signed" or the undruid version of "signed".. just a randum thought thrown in. not interested in erm, "fixing" anything guurgle screws with, not a stupidsmartphone owner at all, but the pattern is there. bic boiz like mentioned guurgle and micro$$oft and all the others keep doing that: This File Is Not A File Unless We Declare It Validated By Us.

No, it isn't.
Among the many reason behind this, there's the fact that JoiPlay is an emulator more than anything else. Therefore, to know if a file exist or not, it rely more on itself than on the OS.
Plus, a file not being signed never prevented it to exist and to be seen. It just prevent the OS, and the OS only, to proceed it. Data files are unsigned, yet they are all proceeded without problem by the software for which they are designed.
This mean absolutely nothing.
There's thousands of proprietary file formats, and they are recognized as files, proceeded by their respective software, as well as by third party software designed to proceed them, this while the OS itself do not know how to deal with them.
But, exception of the 8.x branch, what is irrelevant here, Ren'Py haven't changed its version of the Python interpreter since years. While it's Ren'Py that throw the error, it's the said interpreter that fail to find the file in its system path. So, no, it's not that either.
By the way, the game use the Ren'Py version 7.0.0, that is four years old. And Ren'Py previous version date from the 8 October 2021, while the last one was released the 28 June of this year. So there were no version change during the last 10 months. Just a long period of pre-release life for the 7.5.0 and 8.0 versions.
