well yeah i was more or less guessing (didn't i say so?) along the line; JoiPlay exactly for being an emulator more or less, has to a degree rely on what the OS gives it; file/memory/etc. access is all through OS.. This Is Not A File was actually quoted from a buddy who knows better than me; stands for the filthy habit of OS creators, among others, to have their OS have a say of any request from anything for anything is valid or not, and they can, and do, circulate lists of lessay "unwanteds" which can, in theory, lead to JoiPlay not finding this or that version of this or that file. thought it could be that never undruids don't handle the requests on old versions the exact same way, not too keen on that.
on the version numbers, guess i got mixed up by several games around having had some version up's of Ren'Py since last summer or so.
