the Heavy release has full resolution images, lite has the image resolution reduced but you won't see much of a difference. it's done to reduce the size of the files. Unless you are using a 2K or 4K monitor you will not see much of a difference. One way for it to be done is to save in a different format ie: JPG vs PNG format, the other is to actually reduce the resolution from say 4K to 1920 by 1080 .

You might be able to tell a difference, but I will tell you it won't be much. I'd suggest downloading the heavy and the lite, and looking at the same image and decide which you want, IMHO the lite is good enough

Correct, try to corrupt each to the same level if you corrupt some faster than others you can miss stuff.
