Yeah, putting it in a system folder rarely goes well.

I am also stuck here. Not sure how to activate the new content. I had the game ~100% complete for 2.55, so I should be able to pick right up with enslavement.... unless, in true Corruption fashion, I have to go to the store on like Tuesday's in the evening and get a random event or some shit

Edit: I think I figured it out.

I had to go somewhere and then go back... but where? It was either revisiting the stage/performance section of the club or watching the band perform at the tv station or it was sleeping at Sophia's or sleeping at home. Or something in between.

Wherever it was I went, it let me give them more potions.

Take the subway, it's on the right side of the map. You need to have watched TV to trigger the main stuff there.

put the attached file in your /game/ folder.
fixed the two lines.
There might be better ways of doing it but it at least got it working

Edit. Also make sure the filename is still island.rpy
Downloading directly from f95 adds numbers to the starts of filenames
