What mods do you recommend using in this game? I see a great variety ... not sure if they can be mixed without problems

I recommend playing the game without mods first. That way you'll know which mod or mods you want to grab.
The big problem is that sometimes a long time can go by without mods being updated.

I'm stuck at 50%, because the % they provided was reset to 0 after one of their home events.

NM, I edited the approval in a save and finally could go further.
