Yeah but there are people that unironically point to word counts like "wow 10.000 words" as if it really means something like comparing scene length between CoC and this.

1000 words is enough.
Coc did have a lot of really short scenes that kinda sucked, but also a good number of long ones. The unofficial expansions like Xianxia, Anon, etc, would often have a lot of really bad scenes, short or long, which tended to veer to the shorter side, since they seemed to just accept anything contributed by anyone.
Dominika remains the best npc in either game and I think she was vanilla
Generally the scenes for winning fights were weaker in CoC1,

CoC1 characters as a whole are better than CoC2 characters.
Even, and may god forgive me for uttering this name, Helia is better than most CoC2 characters.
