(would writing a waifu who only fucks you, the reader, make him -not- a cuck in their eyes? How does -that- make sense?)
They don't see the characters as characters but only as vehicles for their own pleasure and wish fulfillment. That means to them that making a npc want to fuck other guys, sometimes in front of you, translate to you having a cuckold fetish whether or not it's in character for that npc. The only person allowed to be a slut is your character, and everyone else is a slut for you.

Yeah, pretty much this. You're gonna attract a lot of people with this sort of mentality when making a porn game.

For sure. I was making a joke over how weird it sounded to think nothing of him writing a waifu intended to be fucked by someone else (the reader) but the minute that character doesn't want to be tied down to one person the author's a total cuck.

It's a funny combination of projecting their own feelings onto him without really thinking them through.

TL;DR: No.

The closest thing you might get is choosing whether to transform an npc or not, and even then, those choices tend to be binary and affect maybe one or two body parts. Sometimes it's a full transformation, like changing gender or race, but you don't get to choose any of the specifics.
The only character you can customize extensively is your own, but even then most of the variables regarding its appearance and qualities are largely ignored. This goes for CoC1, CoC2 and TiTS.

I'm really interested to know how you guys feel about cait. Are you all ok with her slutty religion? Just want a general consensus.
Eh as a character I think she's basically the Anno of coc2. Meaning the one character with a lot of content but if you thought of making her your waifu then be ready for her to make you feel cucked every time you walk into a bar, because you know she's gonna be banging an orc or two because reasons.

Her religion is basically the uncensored version of being a debella follower (skyrim). Realistically pretty stupid and would have been a source of an std epidemic in any world without std immunity or cure. It works in TiTs because of the tech but I think they should add the mechanic to coc2 at some point too for lore sake at least.

Personally I don't care for it, just seems like a stupid cult that fits right into a porn game theme.
For role playing sake I wish they'd add a paladin route among others too, which would put the MC at odds with a shit ton of corrupt gods and goddesses. They can even bring in a patron diety system. Going dues vult on anything that you don't like would be cool.

I'm totally behind this. Honestly after playing as many rpg's as I have, her character caught me off guard. It was off putting, especially when brint was introduced, but I got over it. My only true issue with cait's character is her lack of emotional attachment. I wouldn't care to see her be herself if she showed how much she loves the MC, or at least told us that much. The only emotionally open companion we have is oddly enough from the genderbender Brienne. Which is why she shot up to my favorite companion. I'm not trying to be biased, I know Brienne wants monogamy with the MC. and I like that. But even if she didn't, i'd still be cool as long as she was open with us.

As said before I don't like the fact that cait seems emotionally detached from the PC, especially since he's on a quest to save her sister, though said quest is incomplete, now, I really don't understand why people don't like Anno or Hel, I mean, sure, Anno doesn't show it all the time, but you can see that she's pretty attached to the PC on tits, and Hel, please, she gets horny as fuck for the champion, even pregnant for him only, all other people she bangs are basically dildos for her, gods, there's an awesome scene on COC where she declares her love for you and you put a bun in her, thinking that she's a slut is the same as thinking your wife is one because she has a plastic penis on her drawer ....

It does not help that she is the first companion too. Sets a pretty low bar right out the gate.

I've seen plenty of anal devastation over the fact that she's not up to be your own personal waifu ready to drop her whole belief system for you, up to and including people calling Savin a cuck for writing her that way (would writing a waifu who only fucks you, the reader, make him -not- a cuck in their eyes? How does -that- make sense?), but Cait being the opposite of the usual healer girl in [name a RPG] is what makes her stand out. From them, at least, she's basically a repackaged Anno.
Yeah, I've seen this weird opinion that Cait is cucking you by being with other people, but you're not even in an established relationship and you knew from the outset she was a prostitute. When I tried to point that out to people, they'd say something to the effect of "Well, who do you think a scene like that is written for?", as if to suggest the idea is meant to cater to the NTR audience.

Personally, I have no major attachment to the character since catgirls are just kinda whatever for me, but it's not like I dislike her or anything. I just don't understand why it seems like people play a game about a casual sex world and then get offended that people are having casual sex and that relationships aren't monogamous. You don't even have to have Cait join you, so that makes even less sense to me, especially since you can pick up Brint if you need a starting party member and then swing around to getting Berwyn or Etheryn, who both fulfill the healer role, as I recall.

To be fair, the only thing written about her history with the PC so far is "We tried to save her sister and failed". Otherwise, she's just been sitting around the inn for sexual content while the next bit of her story is worked on. Does she even really know the player yet? She might be grateful to them for deciding to help her, but I don't know if I'd say "love" would be expected right out the gate.

Are there male options, to date, rape, companion... or nah?
Brint and Berwyn, yes. There are also male NPCs like Sugo that you can mess around with.

Cait is overtly affectionate with the PC from the get-go, one of the first things she says is that she feels very close to them after nursing the PC while they're unconscious. She implicitly trusts them and will defer to their judgment even if she feels a bit icky about what they're doing (like looting the kitsune shrine). All her actions make it blatantly clear that she thinks very highly of the person who came to her aid when she needed it most.

Brint is also -very- affectionate and constantly makes little nonverbal signs that he really likes the PC during scenes (and sometimes even lets it slip verbally that he's super-enamored). That's actually my favorite part of him - all the little signs of affection he shows, up to and including letting you penetrate him, are romantic without being overly gushy.

People really aren't able to parse affection from "wants to be entirely devoted to you".

Like someone else said they're in this headspace where the characters' whole purpose in being there is to be vehicles for their own waifu fantasies. The Cait scenes without the PC aren't written as cuckold/NTR scenes, they very obviously aren't, it's from the voyeuristic perspective of any old porn: that you can get off to seeing or reading about other people having sex. It's like that to provide a greater variety of scenes with every character and by the game's very nature there's the possibility of them getting plowed by enemies.

It really does come back to the old I Want You to be Sexual on Command but I Don't Want You to be in Control of Your Sexuality so I Won't Feel Like I'm Being Cucked: A Brief History of Masculinity. If you just like catgirls then there -is- an expressly-written-that-way cuckold scenario where the PC steals a catgirl harem away from a minotaur. Cait's whole thing is being a priest of the sluttiest of the gods, if you don't like that then why focus on Cait in the first place?

I kind it hilarious that a game whose majority player base consists of dudes has a muscular minataur as the most romantic/monogamous option, at least it was before they added the option to genderbend him.
I think majority would agree that "briene" would have been go to waifu is the choice was presented from the onset and especially if there was no genderbending.

Personally I find it odd that people seem to dislike players wanting the female characters to be loyal to them. One of core rules of any non souls-like game is to make the player feel special and give them what they want.
In a porn game with a hedonistic world, making characters be monogamous towards you is pretty special in game speaking.
You're basically the chosen one, it should be par for the course.

I don't visit the official site nor have I interacted with the writers but have heard their particular stances on certain things and imo it seems pretty dumb of them. The over saturation of futa/dom/non-single characters in coc2 and TiTs is kinda stupid tbh. Add them but after you get the players inside with tits and asses without the extra dicks and attitude.
This game and TiTs has a lot of potential imo but it's pretty sad that its being wasted.

It's a porn game, it's made to fulfill sexual fantasies. Most people's sexual fantasies involves themselves as an active party. Many people also choose to self insert in TiTS, CoC, etc. With this in mind, i would think that most peoples ultimate sexual fantasy isn't watching other people fuck, especially not people you've had a sexual history with.
You're obviously in the "it's just porn" category, so those npc x npc scenes are fine, but i think those types of scenes leave a different impression on the self insert crowd.
I don't think this is a case of fragile masculinity or whatever, as much as it is a case of people just wanting their waifu harems. It's not like having a bunch of hot people devoted only to you is a terribly uncommon fantasy.

Honestly, I think Cait was about Savin being spiteful :p "You want to collect waifus huh? Take THIS!"

I don't really care for CoC2 in general. Having fewer and more well developed characters sounds very good, but because the game wants to cater to so many kinks at once you end up with very little content that you actually enjoy. That's my experience at least, your mileage might vary, disclaimer disclaimer.

I see the argument that people who dislike Cait are just butthurt because they want to use the characters as vehicles for their sexual yadayada. I mean, it's a porn game, guys. That quite literally what they are. Cait and the rest are not real people, it's okay to want them all to yourself if it satisfies your fantasies.

TL;DR: I dislike Cait and the lack of male companions/NPCs. And yes, these two things are somehow connected.

So.
At first, I was like - Cait is cute, nice, good looking AND she is a healer. Cool, but my eyes were set on the other companion right from the moment I saw him.
So yeah, I wanted to take the bull by the horns ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), but then he said something about Cait and it just came to me as a big surprise since I only started playing.

So, fine. There was another male I was also very interested in. And he too said something I wasn't expecting about Cait in the most unsuitable moment.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
There are other NPC male options, of course - like a free slutty prostitute who loves bottoming and a guy who (when in a relationship) turns from a silly doggo to a cruel sadistic asshole with many complexes, making my PC an unintelligent-hungry-for-the-master's-cock bitch-slut.
("Oh yes. Bitch-slut loves being bred. Bitch-slut also loves being roughed. But being bred roughly, that's what bitch-slut loves most of all."(c) PC)
What's wrong with males in this game?!

I do understand that there should be something interesting when companions talk about each other, like fucking someone we both know. *rolling eyes*
Also, I have nothing against females, catgirls, pink hair, big boobs and staff (actually, quite the opposite). I don't care if she sleeps around since I myself do have a polygamous relationship with everything that moves (in-game). Still... there is something that rubs me the wrong way about her.

So yeah... there are only 2 male companions. And both of them have slept with Cait. And, in all seriousness, if what Brint said about Cait didn't influence my interest in him, then Berwyn mentioning Cait during a sex scene seriously spoiled the fun for me.
Of course, I still romanced both of them in the end, but that left me with a bad aftertaste.

Cait has a lot of content and surely will have much more, especially if when the quest with her sister will be released in a year... or two... or three..., so I should try to get accustomed to her, but that wouldn't be easy since I'm a possessive bitch.
