Harry would definitely be too hard for these guys to write. Shepard would barely squeak by if the choices were cuck or non cuck. Eighty percent of the writers of course would write the cuck options. Because it's 'more fun'.

None those hacks have a fraction of the talent or skill that one of the newbie writers that wrote Disco Elysium had, the bar is below ground lvl, so that's not what I expect from them tbh.

I will say some of them have talent and are quite good
But they most of the time they have no directions other than their personal desires

The review que is really long and it isn't unheard of to wait a month or two for a reply. I submitted the first part of my minotaur foreman around februari. Got a reply in may, and he got implemented in november.

There are a lot of community submissions clogging the review que. For example, I got like 150 pages of gay sex stuffed in the box.

Sorry but I just have to ask. Who is reviewing the submission? Just Savin? Tobs? I remember reading somewhere on the Discord that the bottleneck is writing. But now it sounds more like the bottleneck for content is reviewing?

TL;DR: the NPCs being "super-special snowflakes" is because they are the most fun to write.

I feel that's understandable and all but while that's fair for someone like yourself who's really just a hobby writer...

And yet the core team have decided to ignore player agency because it's too hard, some transformation have been canceled (taur for example) because the paid writers didn't want to do the work of writing variations.
With hindsight I'm sure they would have prefered to make a game with a generic main character, no customization, no choices and just being a voyeur on their NPCs but the project wouldn't have take off like it did.

That's the sort of stuff a project lead should work to solve. Either convince the people you paid to do it or find someone that will.

I've had pretty wholesome stuff with Kinu when she's a bot, especially when she apologizes for basically treating you more akin to a honored guest than as a loving father(If your hero is one lol), she respects you enough to ask you about your approval or not with her engagement, her wanting to break free from being a clone of her mother to even wanting to see the world and grow as a person alongside you.

This... is unironically, how i have been playing the game recently, treating the MC not as my own character but as a NPC that other characters can have sex with, i literally have to disassociate with my own character to enjoy the scenes and it made me care even less about the story

While i don't even think the erotic writing is bad (for the most part), it's just that i can't get invested in ANY of the characters, i can't get invested in MY character because it's personality changes drastically depending on the author or the unique traits that i choose to have get ignored in favor of the "Author's Vision™" for a scene, and ironically, i can't get invested in the NPCs because they are either someone special OC with very detailed backstory that i don't fucking care, OR have one-dimensional personalities and only exist as vessels for kink (which isn't necessarily bad, only that i cant get attached )

But the issue is that you make your character, you choose their race,their perks, their history how they look and even name them. Like it's just annoying when I wanna play as a dominant sadist of a character and he starts acting like a bottom to some random chick in a bath-house all of a sudden.

But the issue is that you make your character, you choose their race,their perks, their history how they look and even name them. Don't forget they love using violence for Character background stories and talking points but showing and having the player character acting them out? "We done condone the glorification of violence," except when its convenient for our lackluster story and characters.
