People make the point about the first game being as deep as a puddle, but that wasn't always the case. Corrupting NPC was ususally a very deep, multi-stage affair. Some characters even had unique mechanic and requirements to fill. Sheila would "abosrb" 10 corruption from you after sex, simultaneously purifying you, while Whitney needed to be corrupted by "evil osmosis" as she put it. Corrupting followers felt like something you'd earned, which increased the satisfaction of having them.
Here, the corruption is lackluster, when the devs can be bothered to tear themselves away from cuckery and weeb long enough to implement it. I find many aspects of CoC II to be kind of bland and low-effort, but the corruption stuff is...I wouldn't even call it phoned-in. All I can say about is that someone took the time to write and proofread it. Aside from a couple of good eggs, nobody on this project gives a shit about anything their own pet characters; otherwise, they only squeeze out the bare minimum that it needs to be considered content.
Ten bucks on Steam, folks. Now you can store you hardcore pornography on the same account that your cousin uses to play Fortnite.
