Is it so bad to just want the plot to continue? I would like more interactions with Kasyrra and move on from Minotaur land.

Every time I see a new bovine character all I hear is "I want to get off Mr. Bones' Wild Ride." And I love cow-morphs, udders, etc. But variety is the spice of life. Gimme some nagas, bunnies, something different. Hopefully this is the end of cow people considering they got their home turf
Moving on is not likely going to happen until the leveling/combat revamp since they won't let us level up before it and the caves are already probably past current cap even if you do it with good builds. Now since that's coder stuff and their one coder is already over worked what they could do is take the time to flesh out earlier areas but don't hold your breath on that either.

Wow so the combat revamp (at least the first part of it) just got put in already. Color me surprised, I expected that to take way longer.

In that case, my personal conclusion, which might sound a bit rude, but well... maybe people should touch some grass. I mean, CoC2 is free. Unless you want every piece of new content ASAP, you really don't have to pay for it. The fact that those people actually care enough to get angry at the game should mean that it actually does it's job of providing entertainment and Fap Material.
Given I'm one to voice my issues about this game, I think it's fair to explain why the grass has been thoroughly touched. I was a backer way back when CoC2 was still FoE and TiTS still had that new car smell. I never accused this game of not being good fap material, some of the writers are astounding. Savin himself has provided many great scenes in CoC1/2 and TiTS. I stopped supporting due to my own reasons, unrelated to the content that was being put out at the time.

CoC2 does a lot of things well, such as keeping the main plot ever in your thoughts. It's mentioned quite frequently, like a looming threat watching your every move. This is something that was a bit lost in CoC1, where sometimes you'd forget why you were even there. But it also does a lot of things poorly. Something great about CoC1 was that it felt big. Truly it was a very small game (location-wise), but the variety and amount of characters made it feel much bigger. Between mice and ghosts in some ruins and a town filled with every type of humaniod you could think of, the world felt big. Surely the spider-morph bartender and the bunny girl stripper didn't come from the same place, so this world must be much bigger than you've experienced. CoC2 on the other hand is big, given that every part of your traveling is done with individual squares rather than an area search on click. However, it feels quite small given that you really only ever experience some of the locals. Moreso when the more exotic characters are unsexable like Nelia (can't believe I consider goblins exotic now), but then you have 10 cow-morphs ready and willing. Like bro please let me have a goblin I can love.

Khor'Minos receiving content isn't the issue, but that it's bloating the already bloated amount of one race of characters. If they were making KM the CoC2 variant of Tel'Adre and there were a variety of flavors, I'd have no issues. Cities need to feel like cities and all. It also gets to a point though, where you start wondering when actual progress will be made. The newest update is a welcome one, given that it shakes the game up to its core, redefining the game and whatnot. Also have no issue with Berwyn and Etheryn getting their quests, because it's more content to make the game feel bigger.

This is a free piece of entertainment that sometimes gives you some well-writen sex scenes and it doesn't take anything from you but your time.
Time is your most valuable commodity, and more time can never be earned or bought. It's also not free, given that the Steam listing showcases that one day no more "public releases" will come out and the last backer release will simply be the full game. Much like Remtairy did with Karryn's Prison. (Not shit-talking, just the nature of crowdfunding games, would never speak ill of Remtairy. Good people who make good games, and do right by their supporters.)

Thanks for reminding me of FoE and that it's dead

Honestly, very fair takes above. As long as it doesn't devolve into pure actual unreasonable hatred for developers, making fun of CoC2 IS honestly pretty fun.

Also, yeah, I didn't actually realize just HOW bloated the game is with Horse People. Like, not only they are the most represented race in the game, but they also get their big ass city that is vital to the main plot. I doubt it was intentional and the developers aren't aware of how lil bit silly that is when you think about it, but still. Probably just a temporary phase.

Holy shit man, I'm one of them weirdos who enjoys combat/building up a character in this game, time to start over as a Charmer and test this shit out!

Yeah I'm already noticing a big improvement thanks to Threat actually fucking working. And now I also don't have to worry about the newbies being a single slap from death, and before when Threat didn't work, that no matter what my Threat was the enemy would always go after the newbies...

The bar for "coherent and organized" when it comes to porn games is fucking rock bottom. I used to complain about how slow/nonsense updates were back during the original CoC days and whatnot.

After being around this "industry" for a while now, its obvious that its actual rare for a team to release content that both isn't either disappointing or shitty and at a pace faster than an hour or two of content every six months to a year.

So, to your answer your question, maybe? But the fact that either project still produces anything at all is impressive in a sad way.

  • Threat is no longer random. The character with the highest Threat level in your party will now always have priority.
  • At-Will Stances automatically activate as soon as combat starts, without using up your turn.
  • Companions now have the same XP as the Champion. No more needing to take your friends out grinding to keep them leveled; they just share your level at all times.
Well those are wonderful improvements. I am genuinely positively surprised

I actually like Resolve tho, especially when you use it with the bard class to defeat enemies without having to shred to shitton of health of some bosses. It also makes more sense

The problem with resolve is that it requires you to use full manual combat, since by default your companions always use regular damaging attacks. If you're attacking resolve, but everyone on your team is attacking HP, then you're essentially not doing anything.

The other issue is that resolve is like a second health bar that's harder to restore, so it just makes some encounters overly tedious/dangerous depending on your level/difficulty settings/party composition, especially the more ganky encounters like the tainted witch at the river crossing, or the imps in the Frostwood. Granted it's not as turboshit broken as lust is in TiTS, but I still felt like it was a poorly thought out/implemented mechanic.

.......... There was never any slow development to begin with. For that to happen, they would have had to give up their income for mass content, like coc1 did when it started out, mass content weekly.

They never did that, going with the Subscribe/Donate/Monthly income . So as long as they toss like 2 new sentences a month. A large group of idiots, would pay out the wazoo for it. Thus MILK MILK MILK MILK MILK THEm for all they got >:)

Pretty sure they're the most represented race in the game because of that city.

How many were in the game pre KM? Brienne, the two at the Pupperidge farm, the alchemist in the Marefolk village and....that's it, I think.

I guess you can count the guards at the entrance to KM too.

Also, cow people.
