How do you even trigger the Cait/Lusamine NTR scene ? I don't think I've ever stumbled upon it (not that I'm complaining).

I think you got to keep asking Lusamine for gossip over and over and over again until it triggers. It's been awhile since I've tried that.

step 1: run away from strong enemies and avoid strong zones
step 2: fight and beat weak goblins and imps (not bosses). who are starter monsters as anyone at least vaguely familiar with fantasy genre is aware.
step 3: profit (you are no longer level 1).

optional: find tel adre in the desert. sell everything there. find giacmo the wandering trader. dump all your money into buying vitali tea. this tea gives you permanent boosts to physical stats. making you stronger for your level
optional: if you want to become very corrupted. get cerullean potion from giacmo. (nightly succubus visits)
optional: find a transformation you actually want and consume it. gain stats from it.

I guess they love the modern view that critics and reviewers are evil bad faith actors while the job of a critic is to criticize, and reviewer is to review both the good and bad, if it's crap then they should say so not pussyfoot around.

Having a fully grown-up child in a porn game is a bad idea because it inevitably creates a certain expectation; the no incest rule will create disappointment. There are plenty of ways to keep things wholesome or, hell, even compelling without dipping into the fetish; making the PC a deadbeat dad and/or retard ain't my idea of a good time. At this point, I want to embrace the role and tell Kinu to get the fuck out of my sight if she'll keep being a cunt and marry that fox who refuses to chill out despite all the good you do for the entire fluff community.

Anyway, the entire situation is radioactive and almost antithetical to a porn game, I'm here to beat my meat, not get angry at forced drama, and boy is the lack of oyakodon one massive missed opportunity. Alternatively, giving us a fox son we can coach into a chad could have been fun while keeping with the spirit of the game, too.

I suppose wanting a wholesome, if lewd, family is a power fantasy.

It's not made with a set vision and character personalities like most of the big visual novel/ adult games, so basically you get different levels of enjoyment out of characters based on who's writing, and what time they're writing them, unless they go entirely scorched earth and retroactively change or straight up drop
characters (Berwyn, harpy in tower supposed to have been much more important etc) and characters or groups of them there for incredibly long amounts of time may also be marked "done" and unceremoniously put on a bus (entire hawkethorne wolf family for example) for the New Hotness.

the easiest, harshest way I know to describe enjoyment of them is, it's like dumpster diving. Theres definitely something in them, most likely you can find something you like, but you'll have to wade through a lot to get there, and most likely nothing special is at the bottom. Several fun romantic moments, several fun evil moments, a lot of "so bad it's good" or moments where your character starts acting randomly like a strong edgy anime mc who in reality is just a weak willed "yes honey" ntr protag (the observer) or as if you always have the bimbo personality and are a purely feminine female (alypia) you can get a laugh out of or, the lions share of moments, get infuriated at (basically entire gweyr arc, lusamine cait weird ntr scene, jassira as a whole, gods not intervening hard to stop other gods messing with their domain (kitsune content) etc etc)

Tldr there *are* good moments in them, but there's also a lot of bad, like a seesaw. Longer is there's many other games that have the same stuff but less bad and more good at a time. Ntr games have the partner be more likeable so it hurts/gets some off better or is hotter to imagine being the bull and usually, in the east at least, the art is top notch with voice acting and various scenes. Brienne is great, kiyokos start is good, brint is pretty good, others are ok, but even specifically muscular minotaur wives with milk fetish the mc wrestles with have been done better in indie books on amazon. Kitsune romances in particular have been done far better multiple times, kiyoko pales in comparison to tamamo in mgq or fate, kohakuren in alchemy meister etc etc Male romances being done better wasn't even a competition until jstars work with tetsuya, it's at least something. They're just not very competitive in any field. The gameplay is ok. Moiras work is alright, better than adjathas proportions definitely. The story is serviceable but the mc is basically a glorified observer like in ff12, at best a delivery boy for kas while everyone else is special, strong, hottest man, hottest woman etc. No audio whatsoever. Coc2 has more cgs than the other fengames so they are at least competitive there, but usually have weird self inserts instead of having "faceless mc" or positions mc isn't directly shown so men or women can be more immersed. Very few characters are meant to be special they're just content obligations finished up on quota, so memorable characters are fewer and fewer by the patch. None of the fap scenes are good enough to make up for that, even mostly vanilla stuff like majikoi has better fap dom/sub/kink scenes.

If most characters were at least up to briennes attention and long term care and protection they might be able to pull off some surprising stuff, jstar seems like they care some and might be promising, but too much has been dropped at this point for it to really be good unless they straight up soft rebooted (not going to happen). Stuff like tobs just wanting to make a kinu story/princess maker knockoff, with savins cait personality being very weird and abrasive (even for a "free love"/open relationship type), her culture being the WHOLE can of worms but being written as if its actually pretty reasonable while she's one of the key characters, various stuff in game written similar to urtas content where characters banging others or basically cheating is wrote up as just a hot entry to a three way or mc to have a ntr fetish instead of any drama or anger or rewrites, I dunno, whole games rigged from the start.

Majikoi has very well written characters who don't decide they're gonna have an off day because someone else took up on writing them. Most Japanese games have consistency, and they're also way more experienced than the dumpster fire that is Western porn games. They've been doing this when most of the audience were still a fetus (some not even that).

In harsher terms, these Fen games are like you playing on the seesaw, until some fat kid (Fen or Savin) decides to sit his ass on the other end, causing you to shoot up to the top and get stuck up there. Now you have to struggle just to be able to play, all while this fucking fatass weighs the entire thing down with his self importance. You can't get him to move because he's content with waiting for you to keep trying, but he also can't move because this sentient tub of lard couldn't work his legs to save his life. So now you're not having fun, you're caught in an awkward position where you really just wanna stop, and the only person that could make it better for you won't even listen to his doctor to stop stuffing his face every 5 minutes.

It's really like trying to talk to a hippo without getting mauled to death.

Not that different from this place. Some projects haven't been updated in over a year, but if you dare to question it, the coomers lose their minds. I won't even name them.
It's exactly like an addiction. Imagine reaching the point of sucking complete strangers off because you're afraid of not getting your porn fix. Depressing.

I don't know about those since I've never seen such a thing here. If a game has been abandoned, I usually see people being upset about it. The most popular abandoned game is Milfy City. On that thread, people are pretty much in agreement that the dev is useless garbage.
