I don't necessarily agree with the notion that the main story is the most important part of any game. In a lot of sandbox RPGs the main story sits on the backburner to doing main stuff pretty often. This is a pretty main tenant of bethesda games, for instance. Not to say that they don't get criticized for having bad main stories, they do. Just that a game can be successful with a fairly barebones main story meant to push you around the world to do optional stuff. I personally don't care at all about CoC2's main story. I'm here to plap waifus and the main story is simply a vehicle to unlock more waifus to plap
Correction, shitty sandbox games keep they're mainstory on the backburner. I'd like to introduce you to our lord n RPG savior: Fallout New Vegas and it's AntiChrist Pathologic

Level caps hurt my heart in general. Especially if you hit it but have so much more stuff to do. Complete a fight, quest, or whatever else. Receive your exp reward that once would've been much appreciated. Just for it to go nowhere. It just feels like wasted effort at times. Sometimes even kills the mood to do the smaller stuff. It's like having a juice box but not being thirsty anymore. And instead of being able to save it, you gotta pour it down the drain.... just ain't right.

Tis why I appreciate games that have something afterwards. Some type of reward for refilling the bar. Or having the excess go into separate leveling. Like with Dying Light and Legend Skills.
Disagree on this one, I do think level caps are necessary for a tailored experience. If Pcs can just steamroll everything it creates a disconnect between the player and any potential tension that could be made in the story (not tht these bozos of a dev team understand tht).

To be fair game is a sandbox. I don't think people are here for the main story it's just a vehicle to move the player around to do things. I think you could rush the demon queen pretty fast in CoC1 too but that was obviously unfinished
I don't think you understand what a sandbox game really is mate. It's not tht the story is irrelevant, it's that you have a choice in engaging with other stories and other interactions outside of it. Skyrim is the primest of examples tht is still played to this day.

Guys, I wanted to try out this game, since its regarded to be one of the best in the field, but can you tell me one thing - is it filled with futanari?
(I played for like 20 mins and most characters I saw were futanari)
I love these games, but futanari is just not my cup of tea.
Can I still have fun in this game being a vanilla fantasy boy?

Having now played CoC1 for the past week or two and having had a ball. I gotta say the simplicity was nice. Combat was more simple. Traveling was a lot more simple. Exploration/discovery was more simple. Chicks with dicks outside of demons were an anomaly. Meaning less chances for the writers and us in turn. Being able to fantasize about other penises and ball sack juice musk. Matter of fact, just less dick worship in general. Good number of the sex scenes don't turn into whole ass novellas... granted some of them get long. Especially that Scylla chick, goddamn. Character's content was long-winded and weird. And it might be just me, but stuff came off more.... lovey-dovey. And I think transformations came a lot more into play? Which was pretty sweet.
The big difference of playing a game where the main character is treated as such and not accessory to whatever tosspot they're dealing with, yeah. I personally favour the Xianxia one for being even more blown up on how ridiculous it can get.

I understand the level cap. Pwning everything because you're a level god doesn't make for much of a game. They expect you to level up when the opportunity presents itself, though, so they should just let you pool as much xp as possible for those updates and once the most high-level battle is in, they should take the cap off completely.

The way CoC2 is set, this is probably one game where you should go for the most ridiculous level possible with the explicit reason to fuck everything up. A world where most deities could not be arsed, where the Champions just sort of faff about and the demons have the advantage is precisely the one place where they should go for the SMT-type of ending where you just kill off every major player to unfuck everything.

If everything is fucked, might as well unfuck it.

I'm not entirely against having a level cap if your story is good enough that one can understand the hold up... CoC2 ain't one of them. This game just has it because "power fantasy bad", which as an excuse can go right off a cliff.

Level cap is a redundant anti-player bullshit, that isn't needed to begin with if the game is designed correctly.
The sole fact those mofos need level caps to keep some semblance of (nonexistent) balance in their shitty game is the biggest skill issue moment ever.
