His sense of pacing would be terrible for a book too, nobody needs to know the intricate details of a completely pointless japanese fan that is never brought up again.
His pacing is pretty horrific either way, alongside his weak repetitive prose that just comes across as awfully clunky when it's trying to be anything but fairly mechanical, but I do think some of that is down to his just complete lack of genre awareness. Railroading about boring barely main story relevant shit makes the pacing immediately feel a million times worse than it would be if we had more choice.
That being said he writes porn like he's an alien trying to understand human sexuality, which is probably the worst issue you could have as a smut writer. All of the above seem way worse when the usual payoff for sitting through amateurish attempts at RPG storytelling or worldbuilding is missing.
So maybe this is what Wsan meant when he said that maybe people won't like it. You have to choose between Eve and Azzy.
Considering Liaden exists there's really no choice at all. Outside of foxshit basically anything would be better than that awful yuri shipping mess.
I personally don't like that the option for even more azzy/lia lesbian shit is present, maybe that's what he meant?
