I'd say it's more so that you shouldn't just bring any problem to a therapist prior to at least trying to solve the problem yourself first. I would agree it has to be on your own terms, but if you want actual change in your life it takes real concerted effort.

its ridiculous to think some problems dont deserve therapy, because any issue can cause mental blocks no matter how easily your brain has taught itself to gloss over them. thats also a form of trauma. and its ridiculous to say therapy isnt a real concerted effort, or even imply it wont/cant change your life. do you think therapy is coddling? it takes alot to face yourself. and with "just any problem", without therapy its the easiest thing in the world to repeat the same patterns while percieving them as a "real concerted effort" for that change in your life for decades when you could speedrun it in 1~3 years

But that is a very different situation from burning yourself out from overwork and possibly losing interest in what was once a hobby because you are forcing yourself to write things you have no interest in

you'd be suprised how much clarity therapy can give you. what your interests are, what theyre rooted in, where your focus is, ive lost several fetishes and gained others. i didnt need to spend months writing a character, i did it in an afternoon

Even if they did at one point, that ship sailed years ago.
There used to be plenty of places to talk about CoC2 that wasn't the (practically dead due to neglect) official forum and two discords.

Now there's isn't.
Establishing a positive community is a collaborative effort which is why you see so many games on here have active back and forth with the games developers. In this threads infancy, the first few years actually, there was plenty of space to similarly build the rapport.
The moment was lost.

No amount of brow beating various users is going to make them play nicely.

They just need to have an actual argument if they want to see something changed. It took Misty months to get Steph Irson changed, but she stuck to her guns and meaningfully argued it to hell and back. I guess I just never understood screaming into the void about what you want in the game like there aren't thousands of people who probably want different things.

I know this was obvious hyperbole but it tickled me.

I usually avoid making generalizations about "most games" because I don't interact with even 10% of every game on this website nor do I follow that many games developmental pipeline.

No real point to this post. I was just tickled by the number.

I was leaning more towards how often the games are updated more so than which ones are actively being developed. I'm a bit curious if there a way to track the average time between updates of each game. My main point was that it's no Mythic Manor going from near monthly updates to maybe one or two a year.

Every content related poll aside from the generic vs named child and the what are you polls since they don't seem relevant. As you can see, they do gauge to some degree what people want. They've never explicitly released a poll on whether you like side content or not, but this does prove that they at least listen to the patrons seeing as how people love to complain about how many furry dick girls there are.

We have statements from Wsan telling us how polls won't affect content instead they try with content to affct polls? Sadly I don't have that screenshotted but Alterism if you would be so nice?
Also look at the number for threesomes. Despite the fact that apparently no one wants them, we still get them like crazy.

on a completely unrelated tangent to what the recent topic is, Does anyone know how quickly you can get to corrupt Ahmri? cuz im curious to see what they did to her but my main saves are all way past that and pure runs. if im gonna do a quick restart into a corrupt one to see the content i want to know if i can do it quick or if id actually have to commit to being corrupt for a while.

Well then they should get right on making those polls for it so we can sort out truly who wants what from this game, the outspoken people saying what they want in areas such as this forum and the other outspoken people that believe the direction is just perfect that no one ever really sees outside of outliers such as yourself.

You might not view 10 years of constant ups and downs, inconsistent dev cycles, poor coherency between community and devs, leaving/abandoning devs/writers, never-ending retcons/"feature completion", and double standards for writing quality as Dev Hell, but I sure as fuck do.

I think there's still a misunderstanding. I'm not saying therapy is bad in any way. I'm saying that it may not always be the most appropriate solution to one's problems. Some problems can be solved by empowering yourself through changing your outlet for self expression be that with another hobby or by changing how you interact with that hobby.

Fairly quickly if you play story mode. Just go to the centaur village clear it, kill Ahmri''s dad, clear winter palace, build base wayfort, reach the undermountains and then go to the frosthound. And don't forget wait atleast 7 days after you defeated the centaur village.

so uh, isnt that basically the entire story up to this point? if you gotta do palace and get to under thats all the main content i thought. though my time perception may be skewed from how fucking long it takes to get kiyoko to all 9 tails (legitimately the thing that most annoys me with doing new runs.)

You don't have to do Kiyoko, don't do the hornets. You don't need the orcs. Just breeze through the points I have mentioned (don't forget to level up if you can), then you can see corrupted Ahmri in around 20-30 minutes.

It still shows that some of the things are people are most vocally against are wildly popular in the community and more importantly, the patrons. I would imagine the amount of threesome is partially inflated by the companion system since it would be weird to have a group and barely touch on any group dynamics.

To be fair I would absolutely believe that's the case without a screenshot. I'm of the opinion that the writers should write what they want and it would not surprise me if that was Wsan's sentiment. The quality tends to suffer when your force yourself to write.

I don't doubt that, but there's almost 2000 pages on this forums alone. It would be tedious at the very least. And the ones spewing outright lies aren't doing anybody any favors. Where did I lie? Where was it mentioning Will outside of a situation? Did I outright deny his ties to my statement outside of not mentioning him?
