I remember while fighting the elf queen in the fortress, I kept being instagibbed by her nukes and getting frustrated, thinking the fight was just poorly designed. I realized it was a combination of things happening. Although she really does hit hard, what was really making the difference is that she had so much more agility than me, which allowed her to attack twice for every action I did. I could’ve turned on the game’s “Easy mode” to lower the combat difficulty, but instead I went back to town and tweaked my character, switching some my min-maxed stats into toughness and agility, as well as picking up the daily spell that gives a health boost, and I was able to beat her. That victory felt great! "
This is the retarded mentality of players exploiting bad game design in a lotta games (hello WoW mythic+ raiding) makes the game good in their eyes.

As people repeatedly point out, you can’t do much in the way of corruption, but you really can’t seduce your way through anything either. If you don’t want to fight, you can go play another game.
It's like any score based review, take it with a grain of salt. The overall rating for this game is actually fairly accurate IMO, slightly above average seems about right especially in context of the average game on f95 and it's kinda funny it reached that through a combination of unearned praise and over the top hatred.
Well, what can you do with turn-based combat to be honest? The combat should be the weakest point of an RPG, for RPGs are about story and characters. Ideally, there should be a large helping of player choice to go along with it.
