That's my thing. They get mad when people go into the game expecting more CoC1. Doesn't make any sense. Obviously I'd go into CoC2 expecting more of similar content because they have the same name. I'll say again, they never had any desire to make a CoC game. They only wanted the clout of the first game to help make their game. Savin knew that he didn't have the same rep as Fenoxo did at the time, and that being the writer of Kiha wouldn't make people trust him in making a whole game. However, if he had the CoC title people would assume that there would be oversight, if not just mentorship, from Fenoxo given that it's his IP. As it turns out, Fen has no input whatsoever and no libido to run his own game let alone course-correct this one.

If only Alder had thought to name FoE CoC2 instead. No doubt greater care would have been taken to actually connect the first game to the second.

You're probably right, but it's always good to hope that cooler heads would prevail.

Also, I still can't wrap my head around Kas being the villain. Sure she's corrupting people, but they're literally grooming children already. Not to mention that it's just a thing that's accepted. No one says "Yo Mr. White, you ever think them using religion to make children into prostitutes is wrong?" They just go "Oh those wacky Catholics and their traditions." (No hate, Irish Catholic) How much worse could it get?

I agree, while I enjoy Kas, she's kinda got a "mask" of misunderstood villain they push, and hide all the "whoa hold up" stuff like her breeding slave basement in a corner that's brushed off. Imo I feel like they should make her more evil upfront, and cause more friction between people you know. Like this is the person that is supposed to be causing so much strife, to the point of a living "god" bursting through the roof and needing to intervene because she let a Cthulhu-ish entity in that's caused permanent changes and non-sexy corruption to the land, like the painted demons (think that's their name). At first sure she's a menace, but with her backstory involving literally breaking necks after being violently assaulted, turning others into demons, causing stuff like the centaur village and the raiders, ryns sister, connection to caits sister, the reactions just feel weird. Everyone just goes "oh you're hugging and banging her that's kinda wacky and weird".

Theres just a lot of tonal whiplash, like they want the underwater Lovecraft dungeon with your party breaking down. They proposed one of your daughters with kiyoko being burnt in an attack but moved it to what's now known as rindo. they want cait hurling herself at a wall screaming for her sister while you hold her back. they want gweyrs bloody defense of the village. kas' previously mentioned backstory. They want stuff like the red mage when you first save caits dad almost being choked to death. They want komari begging to die. They want kinu and kiyokos parental drama past the honeymoon stage. But then they try to front it as just being a porn game.

Imo they seem to want to make an adult story with smut included instead of the reverse or equal, and should embrace that. If you put "and then she knew what she had to do, she cut down all the teenagers, covered in blood and intestines surrounded by bodies", or "my mother kept assaulting me until I finally snapped her neck", or "father they attacked while you were away, there was fire everywhere, we were so scared, my brothers and sisters were screaming", at what point does it need to stop being pushed as just a porn game?

Instead of making her U-U-U-ULTIMATELY obscene and corrupted (which will make some player like her in a "this shit is fuu-u-u-ucked, I know it but I still like it...fuck my stupidly horny brain" way, and most of a players hate her) he went onto a road of "she victim of circumstances, shes pretty good...while not rape things....and corrupt things...and steal souls...and cause mass genocide...and creates highly unstable interdimensional portals that threats a whole existence of a universe...promice shes a good gal, no really"....which is yes, possible, but he lack both experience and intelligence to do so. Ego of a sizes of an everest are not helps here.

I mean... she has a point though. You've stumbled into a region that's far beyond saving even before she showed up. She's the only one upfront about her evil. "Yeah I corrupt and kill, I know that makes me bad. But you know what? Here's my reason bro. Don't like it then oh well." Everyone else hides behind excuses and religion. Like I said, there's literal childgrooming and probably classes. Take that as you will.

In a world where people justify them eating people's essence, childgrooming, slavery (sans pleasure), etc why is Kas so evil? Sure she introduces depravity, but you'd be too corrupt to know it's bad. All she's doing is making the suffering easier for those already suffering. "Oh you used to be a menial slave doing back breaking labor? Well guess what bro, now you will feel endless pleasure for eternity. Still a slave tho, my b." How can you ruin a slave's life by making it at least enjoyable?

Yeah, picking a tone and sticking with it is pretty important. I don't know if I'm supposed to take Cait worrying about her sister seriously if it doesn't seem she does outside a few select scenes. See above about the slavery thing. It's already actively happening like a lot.

They don't express the tact to make an adult game with erotic elements though, as they don't have a cohesive tone. They use the "just a porn game" to make up for that.

I don't think of it as Kas being THE villain but A villain. One of many that my pure character would purge and my corrupt character would subjugate. Though the catboy god of groomers is on the purge list for both...

This is the fairest response on Kas. People are arguing that she's the BBEG in a world where all I see are BBEGs. If you wanted to be "pure" then you would have a very, very long list of names to cross off before the world was purified. Picking on her because she's got horns and red skin is racism

The real world has/had literally all those things at a similar level of technology....except worse.

Eating peoples essence isn't really a huge deal....they specifically don't kill people, and it seems to be more of a minor inconvenience than anything.

Slavery is everywhere is any society in this time period, I don't see how it makes this world particularly corrupt.

And the child grooming thing is...well, nothing. Again, if we're comparing this to the real world? We would have those kids doing the same thing, except we didn't really do the "wait until 18" part. Heck, most of the excesses in this game, besides the glut of sex which nobody hugely minds, us sanitized compared to IRL history.


Kas wants a world where alraunes, corrupted bees, demons and goblin succubi are roaming the land. Kas wants a world where she doesn't stop at taking your essence, she drains your whole soul. In her world, kids won't be "groomed", because I doubt all the demons and whatnot will care about a kids age at all before they get started.

Literally everything Kas has done is a worse version of stuff already going on. And that's not counting the breeding experiments, the cult (which she doesn't directly control but is certainly the cause of), what she did to the Winter City (they didn't dwell on this, but the entire government and royal family of WC is dead now), or the fact that she's doing experiments that are ripping open the fabric of reality and letting in extra dimensional soul stealing monsters, which if Lumia hadn't been around for would have probably completely ended the Frost Marches and probably the world right there....


Besides the loads of casual sex, the world says Kass is pretty much just normal feudal society plus magic. There's really no comparison, Kas us going to burn the whole thing down.

Kiyokos busts are ok but considering her being one of the main characters in marketing besides kas, her big role (for her niche), her art seems a bit off. Moira pulled off the seductress look with miko and mai much, much better, especially with mikos makeup touchup. With her schtick as being a alpha wife she doesn't need "good enough" art, if Moira doesn't want to do variants I'd just get them to do a petite and a full milf. It's not terrible but it's like if they stuck with kasyrras Cheshire bust and put *that* on the banners instead. Dcls art isn't bad though, cheshires isn't horrible for that matter imo, but comparing miko and mai to kiyoko is just weird, especially with how everyone talks about kiyoko standing out, being beautiful, royalty etc, she's a party member and presumably one of the characters you could theoretically have a ending with, miko and mais eyes and faces are more magical looking. Like they're kitsune, the whole emperor controlling beauty myths while kiyokos an attractive fox person

Kas just took on excuse and used it to justify anything and everything she does for her own goals.
It just a simple, hollow, lazy, and/or writing shorthand/justification and with them pushing that idea as Kas's reason makes it look dumb if you look at their other actions to the point that MC should ask kas, do you think i'm dumb? You could just says i'm doing this cause i want too.

like Skandranon says this not that out of the ordinary even more so for bronze-age "medieval fantasy " [yes, i know those are different times]

i say the biggest problem talked about here is that things are poorly explained or thought out.

1. foxes: they are either energy vampires or demon-like and are invaders, non-interactive player wise and world wise.
   that's pretty all the reason push them out at the least, them being reading like a fan fic mod that was just inserted is just a bonus to running them out. you'd think the elves would want to run them out with the wayfort and city near by.
2. sex temple and sex god
   Wait? you made a god that whose spheres of influence is mostly just sex and the religious group make brothel temples, while saying that some of the characters family are from there or worked there. And that they will be learning and raised from the temple
   And in some with these facts the writer does insane mental gymnastics and say it isn't child grooming to be sluts or whores

With 2. that's like a master class on why you don't make your god just of sex and then say they raise the kids have while working there. Have those gods encompass more spheres of influence than mainly sex.​

Miko's picture looks far far better than Kiyoko, especially when pregnant.

When I last checked, there is content for Male, Female and Herm Berwyn. But if they've changed thier mind since then, they serious can't tell what people want. I'm assuming they just havent had new art made for him in his regular form
