Sounds similar to the Kiro quest in TiTs where if you leave Kiro too long she becomes a bimbo liked the variation personally.
Seems to be an ongoing problem with CoC 2 in recent years that newer characters are more fleshed out than a lot of older characters that many enjoy and wanted more content for. Alante vs Kal and Tav is a good example where Alante a character who had been around since the start of the game seemed really bare bones in content compared to Kal and Tav who are more recent characters written by Wsan. Honestly I could care less about half of the companions in the game, the only two that are ever in my party are Etheryn and Brienne and the only exception being Arona considering she's actually likeable and has content.
Berwyn isn't a companion anymore so I didn't count them
Back in my thread explorer days when I was still a young champ. Going through these pages for the fuckery and funsies. I saw quite a bit of Arona slander going on. I thought I was going to absolutely hate her whenever I finally got around to meeting her. But man I actually really grew to like her. Maybe folks were talking about the dom version or some type of update to how she was written
From what I could gather from the threads Berwyn was dropped as a companion cause the main writer bailed so they just dropped his character...which seems like bs considering quint is still a companion and they were written by bubblelord but I digress
Maybe they're waiting for the brave contributor that will write those extra parts for the less developed companions, and in that way, push for Berwyn to be part of your party once more
He had more content pre-Elf City. He had no responses to any event since then, and he had no combat updates so he was really weak, and noone wanted to work on him.
To add on to what everyone already said, the way B had Berwyn's customization at the end of his quest meant that he had dozens of different variations from whether he had a dick or not, dick size, vagina or not, boobs, what size of boobs, etc. so he became a mess of parsers and code and would've been a eldritch abomination for sex scenes, especially for a team like this.
I can agree on that, don't usually chase after the dudes but berwyn checked enough boxes to make an exception
