Got nothing against either.

On the other hand, you can't make a soccer team with only unique children. And I'll be damned if I can't singlehandedly produce a team to win their local Sunday league!
To be fault, you could if an event was written for you being a man/herm who Knocks up everything. If you want some drama & cute interactions that would be a great source too when the babymamas talk shit to each other while the kids have fun.

I think we're talking about 2 different events. I think you're talking about the celebration(that Kas can attend) that happens at Ryn's coronation. I'm talking about the date from Ryn's menu if you talk to her after she becomes queen. Yall can go on a date in the city and meet different companions doing some sightseeing depending on where you select to take her on the date and which companions you brought.

Ay yeah, that's makes sense. I'm actually not sure if I've read through that to this day. Need to do that.

It did always feel kind of weird how disconnected the PC's party felt when at the tavern, just everyone off in their own little corners doing their own thing only really interacting with each other when they're having a threesome with the PC. They all have mostly postive things to say about the other companions but never interact giving that sense that this isn't a team brought together to fight evil and bond but just a group that only stick around because they know the PC.

It's a tavern! The fact that we can't just sit around and drink and chat is crazy.

In my opinion, in any game with a party, a bare minimum baseline is that you should know what every member of the party thinks of every other member of the party, without explicitly asking (and it's embarrassing how many full fat games don't even reach this low bar.

And it's not like they didn't already write out most companions theoretical relationships with other companions!

Brint thinks Berwyn is fun to tease and very protective of his hat (back when you could ask Brint about Berwyn iirc)

What kind of sociopath writes that down and then doesn't immediately write a scene of Brint playing keepaway with Berwyns hat while the bratty dog yips at him?

The kind who keeps such a note to himself, to later use it to provoke both Brint and Berwyn into tearing eachother's throats out.

Dude, That is like almost all the companions cept the wives... and even them sometimes depending on the writer.
i mean, the can't keep it in his pants sure but i cant remember the last time Brint/Brienne, Arona, Atugia, or even Cait honestly complained much at all. to be clear the can't keep it in his pants is mostly annoying to me as someone not into dicks and his was always out. the im a whiny little bitch was the thing that really made me unable to stand him

I will second not caring for Berwyn but I don't recall it being so often. Then again, I rarely invited or visited him. The transition scene still cracks me up, though.

They gave you the chance to transform him into a chick, just to lock him away inside femdom psycho tower forever, edging the player just enough to feel we are back, only to ruin it at last moment so we would knew it was over. The eternal CoC2 balance of wonder and disappointment

I really don't get why they spent time and resources on this just to turn around and demote him. That's the kind of work a project puts into elevating a character.

Writer tackles the new big thing he has been working on, realizes it's too much so he jumps to the next big thing, meanwhile they get another writer to do the previous part, but the new writer wants to focus on his own thing which happens to be the next big thing. Writer tackles the next big thing he has been working on, realizes it's too much so he jumps to the new big thing...

"Ha! We dedicked a character but we locked her in a cage! What are ya gonna do now, huh?"
"...Visit her?"
"...Ah, OK."

The Ballad of Hirrud losing his cat harem to his sworn enemy, Durrih, will always live in the hearts of Hawkerthorn's citizens, also, why is his belt an upside down coin purse?, that's just silly

It wasn't two different decisions. Noone wanted to work on Berwyn so Savin commissioned B to give him an ending. It wasn't like he started on Berwyn then gave up - their actual alternative was deleting him iirc.

I really don't get removing a companion without having another to take his place. Unless Vivian is supposed to be his replacement even though she has very little content.

I think just letting him stay a companion even without having a new writer would have been better especially since there are companions with active writers who haven't really been updated anyway. But I guess someone would need to add 2 levels worth of skills but couldn't anyone do that?

Was it out of respect or workload? Also by the way I'm seeing people talk about him. He seems to be a dead end and looking more like I shouldn't bother with em.

If I had to guess, probably some spite was involved.

Then again, pretty sure someone here said tbat the original writer was now doing fanfiction of Berwyn getting fucking slaughtered anyway, poor dog had worse outcomes.
