There won't be any new starter races, but I've got a kobold tf on my docket to write for the game.

The cervine tf not showing proper hair descriptions is a code issue and not something I can do from my end. I can try and poke a coder about it

Been a long time since I've played CoC2, but what's this about Azzy and cucking?

From what I what I remember, she basically lets you sit in the cuck chair while she makes out with some paladin you rescued and watched them making out

It's actually worse than that. The entire Azzy quest is you building up a relationship and trust with her in order for her to decide you're the one who can save her hive from the corruption. Then randomly Liaden shows up and is inserted into the narrative, which at first, doesn't seem all that bad. She's a paladin, she knows how to purge corruption, it makes sense on paper.

But Azzy starts having googly eyes for this rando for no reason at all- especially since it was you who spent so long building up that relationship score with her, but Liaden gets Azzy's affection instantly. Then once the quest is over, while Azzy clearly believes she's in a relationship with you, she'll ask you to introduce her to Liaden because she wants polygamy because "It's in her culture". Again, something never shown or told to us in any of Azzy's dialogue during the build up of her quest.

It's especially egregious because the "No" option frames it as the player blowing up on Azzy and looking like a controlling jackass with Azzy saying she'll still be with Liaden regardless. Not sure if they changed that or not.

And the final, big cherry on this shit sundae is the fact Liaden is a lesbian. Which wouldn't be an issue, unless of course, you identify as a male. Then even if you do support polygamy the relationship is awkwardly one sided because Liaden will never have sex with you or even really interact with you. But if you go to your character screen and switch to identifying as a female, Liaden will happily spread her legs for you, even if you got a dick and no female bits.

The wiki page for Azzy does mention Liaden but she seems like a side note. I can't help but wonder if this is a case of Savin writing a character and SKOW co-opt'ing the character for his own usage without a real plan or care for the backstory.

Edit: Okay, I'm seeing Savin only wrote part of Liaden, not Liaden & Azzy. I'm now guessing SKOW poorly planned this from the start.

Azzy/Liaden is weird AF and Azzy sucks plus it makes Azzy look worse. Azzy is established as being distrusting and on edge and requires you to build trust (or be an asshole but I'll get to that later) in order to to even consider asking you for help with something very personal to her. So for that to go out the window the second Azzy meets this rando paladin is weird and inconsistent. Liaden doesn't really do much anyway in the quest to show why Azzy should trust or like her. Liaden's involvement is telling you to ask her dad for help and then making the honey normal again or something while she stands around. Nothing before or after. So Azzy having some soulmate thing with her feels unearned. Also the polygamy angle feels random but I guess everyone except Garth is poly in this setting. They didn't have to make the "No paladin sex" option so cringe, they could've just ignored it with a passive aggressive tooltip. Instead they wrote a whole ass scene to make you look like an ass. Sorry to all four players on their monogamous wasp playthrough.

It makes Azzy looks worse though since she betrays you at the dungeon's climax cause momma wasp said so. So Azzy isn't just putting you in danger but Liaden too. So we just can't warn Liaden that Azzy is a Fair weather friend who will turn on everyone if her mom tells her to? This adds a layer that makes it seem poorly thought out or Azzy to be a poor partner who can't be trusted. Skow made them soulmates but still has Azzy looking bad and just hoping everyone forgets that little lapse in judgement.

Liaden being gated off isn't ideal for a porn game but it's fine even if the implementation isn't great. Not every character has to be for everyone. The problem is that it causes a character with no prior restrictions to suddenly have a chunk of gated content or a sudden focus on the dreaded cuckening. Liaden is also pretty much gated behind Azzy.

The only context any of this works is if you be as horrible as possible to Azzy but like, why would you unless you're roleplaying a corrupt character or that you think Azzy is just some miniboss version of the mobs you've been fighting.

So now we have inconsistent characterization, bad implications, a jarring change in content availability, and a scene based around the author being salty you don't want to watch it happen. It's all so old and they keep trying to make Liaden cool with that one lightsaber quest but the damage is done. Skow wanted lesbian soulmate OCs but she put them in a porn game and now there are issues. I suppose there's something to be said that Skow just does her thing without trying to make cringe justifications or like she's a professional salt miner, but Tobs and Savin throwing the bar underground doesn't erase all other issues with writing.

Skow's made some stuff I like so I don't want to completely write her off but Azzy is definitely her biggest mistake. Also I will die on the hill that Azzy is not royalty. Word slop over.

That paring was before my time. So I'm not sure what that no option looked like before . But the one in there now, essentially cuts the whole thing off. She stops bugging you about it and nothing happens between them. You don't blow up at her or anything like that. I believe you just say you're not comfortable with it. Although her response is done in a slight guilt trippy way. With her saying you are enough.... but! making mention of how her species isn't known for sticking to one person and her duty to spread the queens eggs. Been a good minute since I've even seen it. But I still remember it well enough. Because it felt kinda backhanded by whoever wrote that bit.

Mmmmm less about being poorly planned on SKoWs part, and more so that's their particular fetish, and they love to insert it in places whether the player would like it or not. Hell I think people constantly complaining is what eventually led to a choice being given .

Last time I brought up the roleplay cult from CoC1, but do you guys remember the sand witches? Like punny name aside they also played into different kinks with the extra set of genitals and breasts and had their dungeon. Plus they interacted with the tf system. I know CoC1 was still flawed but the differences in creativity and variation of fetishes is night and day between the first and second games. At least with CoC1 there was a good chance there was content you liked out there. CoC2 is just get futa'd or go home.

Azzy/Liaden is weird AF and Azzy sucks plus it makes Azzy look worse.

It's a pretty impressive way to suggest to a player not to interact further, at least. A nothing character that couldn't spend a week without flipping to another nothing character, lacking a proper build-up or anything noteworthy.

Shit, might as well remove her as a companion, that way she has all the time in the world to go scissor with the lesbian knight like her writer intended.
