Odds are, it may take time for you to find stuff that feels off or makes you question the direction. You might even not notice anything if you gloss over the word salads. For many people here the negative feelings/resignation come from what we saw in the years prior to now, experience with previous games and behind the scenes stuff.

The game gets a lot worse in the later half with the kitsune den, gweyr quest, pretty much everything tied to the glaciel rift really. Khor minos is kind of a mixed bag the windy peaks is pretty content barren mostly just containing enemies. My advice would be to hold off on spending money on the game since a lot people end up regretting that decision later. If a few updates go by and the game still hasn't soured by then, then make purchase.

They do remove content from time to time. They never add anything back. Don't listen to that guy who said they "rework" things, they just remove them.
So far they removed: entire resolve system, transformation abilities (and stat bonuses), tail-pussies, corruption hive route, companion Berwyn (scenes left in the game are barely a fraction of the content he had before the removal).
They also frequently talk about removing other content and characters, so don't be surprised when (not if) they remove something you really liked.

About content itself - the early game is the most densely-packed in terms of encounters, quests and characters. But quickly dries up starting from midgame, the endgame is a bare skeleton right now. Many characters were never finished and/or straight up abandoned (even some of the main cast, like the companions, haven't received any new content in years), so generally don't expect any particular character to get content updates. Liking or not liking certain types of content present in the game is subjective and I'm afraid you'll have to try it out yourself.

I strongly advise you against spending money on the game right now. Wait a few weeks or better a few months to see if your impression of the game stays positive.

Mostly me joking. It's a random decision that is harmless but kinda random to add. I'm sure next update will put an ingame timer on when you can get Brienne or a recolor of Sigrune guarding the armor at level 10.

As much as people don't like/hate the guy I can just tell this is being done to spite Bubble (who from what I could tell got fed up with Savin's shit and ghosted).
I mean they already did stuff to spite Hugs and even Wsan.
(And before anyone says "and nothing of value is lost", it's the principle of it that irks me. Also they can choose to remove one character but a femboy companion they clearly don't wanna work on anymore and even made even more hellish to touch upon they refused to (or hell, any companions that aren't having content really, seeing as them being dead goes against the supposed companion design philosophy))

I can't stand the character myself, but i don't want to see other content that someone else enjoys removed... that would make me a hypocrite as content i did enjoy has been removed. I just prefer not to be forced into it. I don't even hate all of the kitsune den, just the shit where they male mc feel or look like a fool. I forgot what the trope is called, ignorant foreigner or some crap, but they are doing it...in someone else's country where they are they foreigner and invasive species! With that said, sp many other characters don't have even a fraction of content they got.

Now this legitimately pisses me off, i actually praised this came for the class system alone and then even incorporating it into some scenes. There as another coc like game that came out before coc2 that had one in it and i loved it, but i think it died. But this was part of the reason i was so invested, to see how hour characters expanded on the classes we chose and not just generic, "The hero of X" or "Attack with weapon win fight".

I MEAN TO BE FAIR I am bi and he is one of the very few notable male characters we got that can fuck and even marry. Husbando status or no, the scant few that want men here have to scrounge for crumbs and a puff of lint.
I even make my own personal joke even that the overabundance of women (regardless of sexual config) in these games (and really any porn games I get into that aren't DoL where I can configure genders) make me so desperate for more men and make my sexual preference in the former dry up so much you would think I was straight from how man-deprived I am. Awwww... So cute! You remind me so much of myself when I first got into this game. I was like "Wow! This is so cool! And it'll only get better! So many possibilities, so much potential! Savin and Fenoxo are such cool dudes!" Oh, those were the days... But now I know only pain and hatred! And that's gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!
Go through the whole game, squeeze out every last bit of content! Let it flow through you, become one with it... And then, at the end, only you will remain, the new you... And there are only two paths: either you'll become an obedient pay-pig and happily gobble up whatever they shovel at you on a dung fork... Or you'll be filled with righteous anger and go rage posting on the official forum or discord, only to get dabbed on, and if you don't shut up—they'll just ban you! And then you can come back here, to us, and keep keking over Savin and his fans in waiting of promised age of modding!
