transformations gave skills in the 1st one. Like the bite attack from having shark teeth. They kinda sucked power wise, but was a cool and surprising feature.... would sure be cool to have some of that flavor back.
They sucked because the code was ass. Even worse after some of the refactoring revamp did. What I'll always remember is that the player formula for stat changes would reset any stat to 100 if it was above 100, and this same function was used in a lot of enemy-targeting attacks, so naga bite that normally does 2 strength and 2 speed debuff would knock a late game or scaled enemy from 190 speed/str to just 100 in an instant. It also had underflow errors so one a stat got low enough, it would wrap around to the billions, and the poison would then say it drained a billion points of speed and strength.
Maybe that's where Xianxia got its power scaling ideas from.
Every TF attack in /hgg/ got refactored to fix them and make them more generally useful, especially if you pick the Natural Weapons perk. Including different race claws having different damage and bleed values.
Of course some abilities in vanilla were always great and never became bad, like dragonfire. Good damage and stun. Once-per-day limit for a reason.
Why even bother adding tfs if they do literally nothing?
Exactly it's fucking retarded, I remembered when I pointed that out on forum. And Savin himself say that its better that way
Why would it be better without TFs granting abilities? It's only a burden if you have to consider it in writing lots of scenes, but as just combat abilities that's low burden. It's not like it punishes people that don't like the aesthetic, since I'm used to tons of TFs being mechanically good and I still don't go for them. While the furry is using their hoof kick, I was bashing with my shield. While the furry was using their lust bite, I was studying the blade.
And that's the only potential justification I can think of — that giving TFs abilities would be punishing people that don't want to be some hideous chimera of animal parts. You can still be aesthetic, just have a semblance of balance in playstyles.

So im actually starting a new playthrough, haven't really touched much of the new updates since march this year so i figured why not.

My actual question is, is it worth it to do a playthrough with Kyoko as a permanent party member? i kinda want to switch it up a a bit. I know she has stuff to say later on but i wonder if there's any point in bringing her in early.

I also quite liked the small quest involving Livrea at the beginning of the game. Next goal though is too immediately rush south and turn Brint into my cow wife.

It's gonna be hard for me to not bring Etheryn with me, yeah, i actually still like her and don't think she's ruined at all.
There's not really a point in making her an actual party member she doesn't do anything differently as an actual party member compared to just being used as a summon (i mean i guess you don't have to waste a turn to summon her but still). She doesn't interact at all with any of the party members and she only has one scene in regards to a quest (gwyer quest).

why the hell is Raphael evil granted it's not like the original was a paragon of goodness and moral behaviour and why the fuck would Taoth even want to kill its own spawn?

Inconceivable incompetence Batman! This is some Nintendo/SEGA Genesis era shit. Do these guys actually know how to code better than a 30+ year old console?

I played this game and i think i am mostly at the other half of this update, this is what i want to tell:

1. Game choice system: The choices in this game are mostly flavour in order to satisfy the kinks or fetishs of the player, for example: Corrupting or not your companion will have no consequence in any way, it is just an isolated variable that dont affect the rest of the plot so you can fap at your leisure, alternative?, something like the mass effect choice system: The decisions in the story demonstrate the "domino effect", where seemingly minor decisions affect major events with unexpected combinations of choices that unlock options that no player could predict, in short, stop being lazy and create a branching narrative with persistent consequences. This will get us invested in the story.

2. Transformations: They are cosmetics and represent the sexual kinks for the player to enjoy (nothing bad about the latter). Every race has a social context in this game, so every one should react one way or another depending of the race or the transformation that take place, for example, if you decide to become a ¨dragon¨, that will lock you out of romance options or even be the reason for a break up. Also, it is just for flex, it does not affect the gameplay wich is ridiculous.

3. Narrative inconsistency: Corruption and purity are the equivalent of Paragon and Renegate from mass effect, but they have no effect in anything, even becoming fully corrupt to 100 does not have any effect in your use of white magic or your relationship with Sanders. If this is the case, then no matter the junk of lore you want to put in these concepts, because they have no presence in the gameplay (important precense, i know that you can have certain perks and bla bla, but lets face it, they dont matter).

4. Lack of reactivity from the world and our companions: The story is linear, we are the heroes in the big picture but nasty as fuck in the details, this is linked to point 1 about the game choice system, in short, we can be assholes and that have no effect in the world, worst, your companions dont react, or just offer token resistance (for example, the reaction of Cait if we decide to fuck Kasyrra when we face her in the palace of ice, then...NOTHING). The concept of this game could work with the reputation system of fallout new vegas, where it is not just about your ¨karma points¨ but also the reputation of the location and faction that you deal with.

5. Void and emptiness: This game is fun, it has an interesting story, lore and good sex....but nothing else, the world is just a mess of hedonism with no real change happening. There are some exception, like maybe Etheryn.

Just looked at the save file you provided. The flag OLIVIA_DUE is set to 3. If I had to guess how you managed that you probably just spammed through the event like it was any of the other random event that happens in the fort.

The way I see it you have two options. Set the flag to 1 or 2 and move onto the or set the flag to 0 and redo the event. If you decide to redo the event just remember the event triggers the moment you step onto the vault tile.
next event didn't happen may be have jump scene way ?

The CoC2 kitsune aren't Taoth's spawn as far as I know. Raphael's motives haven't been officially revealed and no idea if they're the same but I want to say it was more that Taoth wants these kitsune dead casue he wants to establish a foothold in this game's world and they and Keros are stopping him so he subcontracts the murder to fox people who want the kitsune dead because they're parasitic and vampiric colonizers. Of course in order to lower the amount of people who side would side with Raphael that is all locked behind Kinu and if she doesn't exist it's background stuff we never interact with.

But Raphael was also chosen by Tobs as a deconstruction of his archetype and cause I think he hated CoC1 Raphael more than anyone else.

I'm pretty sure that's the case but anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or something changed.

At least CoC1 Raphael gives rapier training and makes the jeweled rapier one of the best weapons in the game. CoC2 Raphael path when?

Raphael has some merit in CoC1 but is held back by forced characterization of the player and little agency to decide how you feel and act for yourself. I hate him, but I'd like him a lot if he was much more dynamic. Short text chunks between player-driven direction so that more people with different headcanons about their character's personality can come around to liking him in-character more naturally.
You really shouldn't grab a character and start twisting them around unless you really like them or their intended concept, else you can come off kind of petty and goofy. That's why in all the Urta hate, no one tries rewriting Urta. If you hate something, you can't really make it better, you'd just be throwing it out entirely or bastardizing it. What's the point? Just make something new in that case.

It's the same with remakes of games. A studio doing a remake needs to revere the source material and deeply value it or they'll ruin what made the original special. Understand, appreciate, and try to enhance what's there instead of thinking you're better than it.

CoC2 is noncanon to any CoC reality, just a grift on the name recognition.
And the redemption ending is truly the worst one conceived. Appropriate that Urta's cock is equally important to getting the "good" ending as Marae being saved, as far as the code tallying up goodness in the world.
It's only corrupt to be a murderous sociopath if you do it for fun. If you have the paladin perk, no corruption gain because GOD WILLS IT
Max corruption in a paladin playthrough is 35 before massive permanent debuff is gained, but it's a fun alternative way to play.
Very concisely, the plague rats are riddled with disease themselves(rodent codex mentions why), and there's a concoction in the code (mostly non-functional) that is from the lore of the Alices. Lust demons are the lowest echelon of demons (not counting imps) and they often divide themselves up in harems, like Ceraph and her pets in vanilla, or the ivory succubi in the mod. And because lust demons worship sex and their own sexual prowess, a demon that has drawn immense, seething ire from their harem master or another demon above them, may end up subjected to Liddellium, which strips away all their sexual assets, becoming petite and child-like, and too physically weak to force themselves on people with any degree of ease. A mental and physical hell until their desperate unmet need for sex tortures them better than any sadist possibly could. When death just isn't enough! Though, the concoction would work on anyone, lust demon or not. Some want an alternate ending to Akbal's Quest that turns him into bratty shota with Liddellium.
But if you get hold of that, you can use it on plague rats to make them little girls. They're still carriers of disease and look freakish, but you can fuck it if a Little Sister from Bioshock is your jam.
Opening the debug menu lets you spawn in any item, including ones not implemented otherwise. Liddellium does not have full functionality, and consuming it will partially work on you and make your life worse. The entire code for it is a botch, but since it's not obtainable legitimately, it just sits there. It'll get redone properly in the far future when I add another dungeon that has it.

Futa is more optional now, but none of it is gone, just fyi. There is more futa if you have offspring with a futa, like Izma, or you're a futa yourself. Lots of sex scenes with shark daughters.
I would not be opposed to that akbal ending especially if he ended up in the camp.

Reasoning on balance? Tsk tsk tsk. You should know better, not from Savco.

I will say I was a bit guilty of this but not by my own fault. When I was writing that pony porn about Kalysea, I did ask what her personality was, other than Wsan's futadom tm. I do think it's possible to execute it, right? You just have to get the vibe of the character. Tobs was just being an asshole as usual.

Oversalting leads to high blood pressure. With how much salt they consume it's no wonder Tobs and Savin are so spiteful all the time.
You see, that's where you're wrong comrade. We have a glorious purpose! To talk shit on a pornsite and to recruit unsuspecting souls to hate as much as us. Also to further your whoring career because someone has pay our bills and I'll be damned if it's me.

Oh, look, one of these lists. Haven't seen one of these in a long time. I remember when I used to dream of change. It seems so distant now. 1000068283.jpg

Wasn't his dumb reasoning that he didn't want people to minmax body parts? Next he's gonna remove any difficulty other than Dark because it's a power fantasy to not get shitkicked into the 13th layer of hell.
You see this game's philosophy is like Atlas Shrugged with Atlas as a futa girl and her futa dick is locked in chastity while all the uwu femboys breed the muscle goth milfs, only this time Atlas doesn't get unshrugged and instead learns to enjoy the pain :HideThePain:

I would not be opposed to that akbal ending especially if he ended up in the camp.
So there's two minor problems there:
1—He's a powerful sorcerer and though liddellium would reduce his physical abilities and the stamina he has for casting, he fucking hates you after that quest and would be ridiculously bad to take to camp
2—Liddellium turns things female, no pp, because of reasons not worth getting into.
But it's easy to write around and would also keep with it's own unique flavor:

In terms of being consistent enough with the world and characters, I think it can work.
But, you know. Who would write it?
I will say I was a bit guilty of this but not by my own fault. When I was writing that pony porn about Kalysea, I did ask what her personality was, other than Wsan's futadom tm. I get requested to write for plenty of characters I don't like. Like Nieve, I hate Nieve so much. But damned if I don't do my best to do them justice. I wouldn't want to change or twist a character I dislike, since I'd lose what makes that character special to the people it's meant for, but I think you can set aside your feelings to add to something if you try to give it the benefit of the doubt.
