what was the Berry fiasco?

I include the hugs stuff because it's kinda sad. If he had servere issues it's one thing but bubble lord has been given a considerable amount of time to do anything, and they're going to be developing the game for years, most likely characters like taldahs aren't going to get content for years so I don't see why they couldn't just say "hugs get some help, we love the work you've put in, youve got tons of fans, you're a friend to us, then when you're ready just work on Berwyn".
Surely something like that would earn tons more goodwill, respect and more understanding of time for stuff than repeatedly causing shitstorms from stuff like cancelling einen because of a deadline, that situation etc, even for diehards it kinda adds up like "ok wait a minute here"
