Probably not, no.
Coding isn't the major roadblock for content. It only slows down when something really big like Brihaus comes through.
Reviewing is what takes a long time. There's stuff in the review sometimes for a full year.

Ah hell. Reading through old tomes (from back when I cared to keep updated on this project) is the worst for reasons I'll explain later.

The TL;DR is-
Wait I'm retreading old ground. And you know what. If I'm going to do this at all I'm going to do this "right". Or as right as you can be given that we virtually only have 1.5 sides of the story.

Short Answer: Hugs had some mental health issues that made him a bit hard to work with. Rather than try to keep the damage to a minimum some of the actions by the staff involved aggravated a problem and tossed him when it reached critical mass.

Though if you think about it. It's a good thing he left in the end. May have done a number on his psyche in the short term. But the longterm is getting some real help and potentially surrounding themselves with people who actually give a fuck.

Hugs plans for Berwyn sounded so cool though, I would've loved to have him as my companion, and if that piece of artwork you shared is how he was technically supposed to look like once purified, he looks absolutely stunning too. Shame that never really came to be

I can also see why there's so much drama regarding this development team, which is also sad to see really. This game could've been great, because it had good ideas like the fighting system, adding lore to there to know what the world is about. Artwork which is also non-consistent buuut the benefit of that is that you can mostly select the portraits you like more for your characters. Anyways, thanks for the in-length explanation

actually, people didn't really want that. and even if they did, if the creator of it was vehemetly against it, and had a history of mental health problems, even IF people wanted it, they shouldn't have done it! since y'know, what did they think was gonna happen, other than Hugs relapsing, they had to have known... anyways, there's tons of content for straight males, while there are literally only 2 male companions, and one of them can be turned into a girl, and as such half of the content for them is that! which just leaves quintillus, who not everyone is a fan of!

literally only 2 male companions, and one of them is able to be turned into a girl. I would've understanded it if they also allowed all the girls to be transformed into boys, but no, they never do that, it's just turning men into girls! barely any corruption also sucks, but hopefully drifa will abate that need a bit, but even so, it's not enough, especially for the game being called CORRUPTION of champions.

One of the biggest problems with the game is how tightly they clutch their precious OC's. This isn't a fan fic it's a game people pay money (for some reason) for. When you start making a profit it stops being art and becomes a product in which case the wants of the customers becomes more important than your "vision." Of course these days AAA developers go around insulting the player base and telling people they are too stupid to know what they want so why should a group of dysfunctional indie porn devs be any different.
