If that's winning then why does it feel like shit.
Because you play the game the way he wants, I don't engage with half of his garbage, my involvement with the Kitsune basically ends once I retrieve the bag. I leave the fox fucks with a swift kick the jaw and a middle finger on the way out the door and proceed to beat the shit out of them every time they try to jump me in the forest.

Precisely why I am doing the last line of the comment now.
I'm just gon' buy shit and leave for good.

It's like playing an mmo with shit devs while convincing yourself it'll be better over time.
Learned that the hard way. WoW, amirite???
Or trying to get back to a toxic ex and convince myself it'll be different this time.
I can fix them.

Look what it did to me, it turned me from a normal cat to a damn cactus.
I loved that kid demmet, Went full blown immersion overload during the crystal ball phase.
Then this mf hit me with that bullshit after freeing them for the first time.

This wretched form will be my reminder, to make sure I never forget what happened.
Maybe I'll transcend this cactus form and be back to normal someday but who knows.

Logical or not, nobody wants this to happen. I haven't seen anyone make the argument that it's so good because it's realistic and you can't always get what you want. Have you ever watched porn where they recreate a realistic neurosurgery? No, because nobody was looking for a documentary in the first place. Leave the despair content to games themed around it, like NTR, or don't write porn at all. Go finish the last GoT book or something.
And that is all fine and dandy, I'm not going to fault them for that. What I will do however, is be pretty salty that on multiple occasions mc is put in a situation where he feels like a stranger in his own "home" after the awkward air of 10 years MIA has been cleared, and yet the fraudulent god who at best damaged the family pretty bad due to sheer negligence and at worst did it for the lulz gets nothing but absolute reverence from them without even so much of a hint of a crisis of faith.
If you read my post completely you would have noticed that I spoke of the "initial reaction of Kinu" and criticized what happens next. It should have been the trigger for a reconcilliation and understanding arc and that's where TOBS fucked it all (again).

As I said a long time ago in this very thread, the best Kinu is the one that doesn't exist.

Life is just pain and suffering for her so the best timeline is the one where she is never born.

Never said you didn't, my point was that the quality of writing is irrelevant if he writes "feel bad" stories. The point of the whole story is to make you feel guilty if you care for your fictional daughter. I personally deleted the orb from existence back when that was possible as soon as I heard about this spite project. No point running head against a brick wall.

Their viewpoint is conflict.
I re-read the story and feel awkward in the Fox family but I understand the plot.
Perhaps I am also an Asian, so knew very well the conflict in one family and felt it was normal.
Both Kinu feel a degree of dislike toward either Kiyoko or Komari because they feel the latter oppress them. (And the Asian way to express their dislikes is indifference toward their target)
It's right to some degree but because the parents have no choice but to groom a proper successor for the Otomo family.
Kiyoko values human relationships and how to exercise political ability while Komari worships god and the fertile land.
When your daughter/future head shows the ability that suits their taste or shows the demerit with they dislike.
That's how their awkward relationship comes in.
-----Komari is loyal to Kiyoko but more than a hundred years have passed, and Komari who suffered and faced numerous hardships would have different opinions.
Komari may think about the family serving Kinu to help the Shoujo demerit as the goddess of fertility while Kiyoko doesn't care about god or otherworldly power and pursues versatility over rigidness

*Shoujo fears her mother and doesn't want to be like her, Hime feels the "old-hags" annoying and ineffective.
They feel that adults oppress them and show dislike

**Well, this is my opinion from my experience.

That's great and all but can you tell me why I should give a shit about any of that?

We have to fill the time between complaining about lackluster updates somehow, shitting on Tobs just seems to come up the most. Personally I blame Savin more because with competent management even Tobs shit could have been made tolerable.
