Once, I browsed the old records about Kinu on this thread and someone posted that Tobs saw the player worrying about Kinu as emotional incest because it was about suppressing her or something, and because they had those issues in CoC1 with one character, he wanted to make a point using Kinu, that being the reason behind the whiplash from sweet kid you're helping grow up to the suicidal young woman who was abused by her mom and neglected by you, and then Kiyoko reverting into a mouth piece for Tobs like the other kitsunes telling you that leaving her learn on her own is actually cool and wholesome

In other words, he sperged, and it ain't like he had no reasons, Kinu is in a bunch of incestuous fics with the champ so the concept was there, but instead of muting those opinions and focus on having a healthy relationship with the fox daughter he took the dumbest approach and well, that's why Kinu is like that and you can do nothing to fix that...

...I have no idea why Fenoxo even gave him the ability to use that title outside of them being friends. It's pretty clear to me Savin is a piss-poor DM, that or he's only fun if you're playing in a DnD campaign where he IS OK with you being the actual hero and not just the errandboy... and even then I bet half the time that's not the case and his players are just too dumb to see it.

I'm not a D&D players but saw one episode and found it boring, mostly seems like the kind of stuff you do with your friends and is fun like that, but if you're not part of it, is boring, really, really boring. It was mostly OCs being the main character and doing sex stuff so, yeah, like CoC2 but in audiobook format

Man i tried that new two elves content proper now, with and without Arona, and man i didn't really like any of that. This really was some next level third-wheeling(as per usual by now).
I don't get how pretty much all of SkoW's content is just third-wheeling for his oc's, at least with other writers there's more variety.
SkoW's writing isn't bad, and the characters are nicely designed, but it just feels unsuited for this kind of game, considering your character can bang and knock up almost everything with a pulse, being given some pity third-wheel role for the most part every time is such a buzz kill.
I just find it all so unsatisfactory.

Nah, Fall of Eden was Alder. Savin's first project was eventually turned into Slablands. I forget what he originally called it before 4Chan picked up the pieces after he gave up, then they also stopped working on it. I think.

Because I believe that SKoW is a spawn of tumblr. We fucked up messing with forces beyond us. People should've left that damn site alone! He wants to ship characters and uses this game as his outlet. And he gets away with it because the leadership is engaged in their own fuckery.

The kitsune stuff just can't be salvaged. They sucker you in with the orb, but then everything after that is just nonstop abuse from a writer that hates you and has fallen out of touch with the rest of humanity.

It's a trap that sucks you in, and drains away sanity points. Treat it like an incredibly toxic mineshaft, go in if you must, then hurriedly dig out whatever ideas or inspirations might suit your fancy, just get out of there before you contract the black lung or something equally terrible, (like awful tastes or a loss of faith in humanity.) Remember how good kitsunes CAN be, and indulge in the depictions of them done right- reject the ruination of kitsune! Just write your own happy life with your kitsune wife. You can bang as many of your daughters as you want in daydreams and personal stories, too.
Only consume your daily intake of kitsune propaganda from reputable sources of creativity.

Always thought the easiest way of doing the Kitsune is just to remove the faction from the game. You build it up with Kiyoko. Once she's out maybe the less shitty foxes from the base game show up to pledge loyalty to her, cus they were thrown out from not-Japan. Rebuild your own tree, with blackjack and hookers.

I mean im not defending the kitsune in any stretch but kiyoko is completely optional and after doing evertrees quest where you storm the den for her bag you don't ever have to go back there. But considering how much content they get it should definitely be better then it is.

I wouldn't make her required. Kiyoko would still be optional. Kitsune just wouldn't be around in the game if you don't go for her orb, since there's no leader for the characters to rally around. This way feels like the player matters for freeing the last matron.

Well yeah the way they're all written makes you feel like no matter what you do, you are not welcomed there. Like yeah ok you stormed their den they have every right to be annoyed but even after you've helped them a bunch even after you release their last matron and even marry her hell even when you're chosen to be the champion of the very god they worship and even have sex with...your still an outsider.

Regardless is you actively try to spend every single visit being there for her... No chance to even patch things up when she's grown up for something that isn't even your fault (because the better option is keeping them trapped forever I guess).

Even removing Nakano from the game, even rewriting every interaction with Kinu, even changing fundamentals about the orb and the time skips that take place in there so you aren't quite so blatantly absent in Kinu's life, even going so far as to rewrite all the kitsune lore so they aren't so outright hostile to anything and everything (especially the player),
you'd just be salvaging spite. Going to great lengths to make someone else's hate-filled fantasy into something you could tolerate, maybe even enjoy a bit.

I'd rather just scrap the whole thing and start fresh, personally. I don't need to use that guy's venom-laced narrative or salt-infused characters, I can just come up with my own kitsune. It wouldn't take any effort to put in as much thought as the original writer did. It'd be more work- (and psychic damage)- to read through and edit every single bit of what's already there into something even remotely pleasant, and even then, I wouldn't be able to forget everything that came before the edits. Short of a sudden bout of dementia, I'm always going to remember Kinu for what she is now. Any edits would just be to spare future generations from that landmine.

I'd rather leave them something that's built on fun and smiles from the get go, though. "My gift to the children of tomorrow is a world where there are no more Kinu's, or Nakano's. Where you can appreciate a fluffy tail without being called a slur, or mocked for not being born with your soul up some self-proclaimed god's ass! From now on, we will have more endearing and friendly kitsune!" (And then the crowd cheers.)
Seriously though, nothing about the kitsunes presently in the game are unique or revolutionary enough to want to preserve any of it. The biggest deal in that content is Kinu, having a daughter that you can watch grow up- but that happens in such a flash that it's more the thought than the actual experience at that point- and again, nothing new, Helspawn and all from CoC1.

Just come up with your own kitsune bride, your own daughter(s)/(sons?), keep the orb if you want to have your own little isolated slice of paradise, but what's there right now isn't worth the frustration.

Building everything from scratch is definitely more work than editing. The biggest challenge is understanding the spaghetti code and trying to monkey your way around and adding in all the code as intended. The pain of having to manually create new NPCs, make new events, insert them into the actual world, not to mention working with the jumbled functions that I doubt even the writers know how they work.
Don't get me wrong I 100% agree with you on this one, just not on the terms of effort required. If I really understood how the mess they call code works I would 100% go with option A, but for now it's just tweaking stuff and adding very basic functionality.

Tobs really wanted the champion to experience the complexities of being a gaijin dog in a relationship with this girl who was pretty sweet but then she became crazy an abusive, like most of her relatives but the quiet ones that are basically social pariahs and are just happy to have you around

Anyway, you shouldn't have to jump so many hurdles to be on the good say of the same people who are the "excess" (this is just a nice way to call the extra kitsunes no one wants in the island of animesburgo), specially because they are optional content, therefore, they should be extra good to push the player to go through the trouble to unlock them. Still is weird that Kiyoko as a companion is locked behind said content because sure, she's free and now yours, but her freedom is attached to those kits and unless the game expects you to not care at all, including the one daughter you spend most time interacting with, (Freya got some play dates and Inaya plays with you, which is pretty boss, and the centaur boy too). Anyway, the old parts of the thread go in detail about why it was such a letdown, wish Tobs hand't sperged while writing them

It could be saved?, yeah, rework the second half. They don't need to fully embrace the champion as one of them at the beginning, but at some point they should at least acknowledge that you're the authority at the other side of the forest, their spiritual liege wants you in a very sexual way, and even their god choose to visit the frozen wastelands where you spend your time doing very important stuff to jump your bones. What I'm saying is that at some point, the way they keep you at bay becomes stupid. Even without being the kitsune chose one you're not just some sorry random that stumble your way around their three, you're there because one of their mikos fucked up, you're doing an official task because of them, also, returning the lady who happens to be part of the same bloodline as their god is a huge deal, so I don't get why they get to to be bitches beyond Tobs being a bitch to the player

Dial that shit down, instead, progress Kiyoko's orb formula, let me have little Kinu and her siblings, I'm making some other kits along the way, and the last thing I need is someone being bitter in the optional content that took a good chunk of time which wasn't expended in the main history
