I doubt it'll finish before the heat death of the universe. They spent years on the minotaur mountain and seem more concerned with doing small side content than updating the main story. I wouldn't be so pessimistic if the last true "major" update wasn't just half a quest and a long overdue single level up that ultimately doesn't fix the piss poor balance.

The armor is strategically sound. If the opponent is confused or laughing then they are open to attack and flanking maneuvers. Additionally the veiny creases can catch blades and disperse energy from blunt force. Also it looks sick as fuck.

"Why people love other people?" It's mostly subjective. I liked him because he was a soft, bullied dog boy, who struggled with the truth of his teacher, his mistress, intentionally gimping his potential and purposefully shaping him into a failure.
