Saving the nature deity is as important as making sure the furry/monster girl can knock you up. I don't get why Urta became so popular to the point she's referenced in TiTS.

Urta is Fenoxo's fursona back in the early 2010s, an overly important alcoholic gooner that feels like everybody hates them despite everything we actually see being their friendships and success. And Urta is just like that too!
I'm making light of it, I don't wish ill-will of the guy, but it was his fursona, so that's why when he moved onto TiTS, he'd still reference Urta. As for popularity, there's just a lot of content there, and an awful lot of people disliking it. Urta is a pretty bad character with a lot of bad content, but Fen was also a lot newer to writing back then.
Of course, even if Urta was written like sheer gold, someone needs to be smacked upside the head for the guard captain in festering bumfuck Tel'adre having her cock spear a bunch of holes and unlock fertility being as important as the namesake of the world itself being saved from corruption.
You might point out that Toath is a god, so both things involve freeing a god, but Toath is bad writing, cringe, and a useless deity besides. Making this unbearable moron uber extra speshul because a god is inside her divine horse cock just sucks.

Version literally so old the changelog doesn't mention it since it starts in 23 lol. Guess changes were not documented before?

There are 2 changelogs in the Releases folder.
Long story short, the sourcecode used to be actionscript and maintained by OtherCoCAnon(OCA), but he long since moved on with his life and the source was ported to Haxe (still primarily making flash builds, but more versions available in general, like HTML) by Oxdeception. So one changelog is the OCA era and the other is the Haxe era.

Maybe i'll check the discord then because unless it has been changed in the 5 years since then, i'm a bit confused by how the layout of the camp is supposed to look like from the descriptions i've read of it.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but you're welcome to check out anywhere and ask whatever you'd like. I think just downloading and playing will answer a lot for you, though.

I actually liked Urta. Having come from CoC2 where too many of these OCs felt like the writers wanted them to be the actual main character. It was surprising to see one who was shown as pathetic. And I very much did experiment with it.

But even though I did try to crush her soul in every way possible out of curiosity. I rather liked the character overall.

It was probably in part because it relied on community writers and that would put most people off and it's easier to just suspend disbelief and say kids don't exist in porn game worlds. Maybe a cop out but for smut it seems reasonable to not want to explore such dark themes in the queer furry game.

UrtaQuest itself was Fen himself I believe. Savin didn't want to touch Urta iirc bc he doesn't like furries.

The needing her quest to be done to get the redemption ending for the final dungeon however is his doing, since he did Lethice's dungeon. So if you bad-ended Urta you're SoL apparently for the redemption ending.

When Urta's Fertility Quest was made, the gripe was that people were raving over other things they were anticipating, that Fen was supposed to get implemented, but instead Fen went on a big long quest for his fursona, on top of the premise being stupid.
The ending of CoC came much later on, and you don't need to worship Urta's cock to get the good ending, you just need a high enough number of good points for the things you did in the world. Saving Marae is good, taking out optional dungeons is good, more goodness points for some than others. But Urta is worth the same amount as saving Marae, central goddess and namesake of Mareth. Which is absurd.

I agree, I like things to be cohesive and immersive, filled out with the things the world ought to have, and the consequences of that.
Though, I have my limits too, like I really don't need scat to exist. For people that don't like some aspect of a world, the solution is probably just vaguely allude to things. I don't like scat, but you put toilets, outhouses, whatever around, I am unbothered. A lot of people wouldn't want to see any of the actual mayhem children experience, but seeing there's the amenities for children and hearing allusions to what may have happened to them off-screen is really as far as you need to go. It's not necessary to be graphic and to personally take part in it.
And that's why age is a toggle in options. These things exist in the world, you might come across implications of it, but you don't need to personally confront the existence of that.

It helps that a lot of the things people hate Urta for. Are things I never had to deal with. I actually never finished the game because my saves crapped out on me for some reason. So the god penis stuff couldn't bother me since I never got to it. I remember someone in here saying there was drama with her and the time spent working on her. I only discovered these games last year. So I wasn't around to be bothered by that either. And the most important one! I was never cucked by the whole Amily stuff! A lovely perk of hindsight years later and other people suffering to tell me about it.

Try visiting the lake a lot. 0 combat encounters if your level is 1, so you can get some speed and the beautiful sword. Choosing fighter for History also buffs up your base stats a bit.

It's a "sequel" to an old popular text based porn game from years ago that had a good following. This game is mostly known for its drama at this point though. The story is tonally inconsistent, there are no narrative stakes, it's very much not immersive, the gameplay poorly balanced and a slog, and the art hard carries the game. Honestly all the discussion here is mostly about discussing how much of a lolcow the lead dev is and some mostly on-topic shitposting. That's not to say you would hate it, you may play it and like it, just don't expect much. Also if your statement about reading nightmare is a formatting concern it does have a dyslexia mode that is ok. I'd say try it yourself before our doom n gloom prevent you from forming your own opinion.
