I mean, the moment the cage is unlocked the scene is worded in that you, the person behind the screen, chooses what she wants. If Ryn suddenly wants someone else, its because you choose that narrative.
The problem with this logic is you have no other choice if you're not into taking dick. Compound the fact that the only way to officially get a confession out of her and properly start dating is to take said dick, it's not exactly a fair choice to a player. The choice is essentially, "Get dicked down in order to continue the romance or get cucked." And I specifically used cucked because there is no middle ground or "Let's figure out what we're doing because this is a complicated situation." option.
There are only two real issues I can understand with the scene. One being that the love confession is tied to the sex scene, but I can wave that off with "It's a porn game, it is what it is."
The issue isn't that it's a porn game, plenty avoid this trope. The issue is Savin not actually being an inventive or patient writer. It shouldn't be waved off because, quite frankly, it's not even a good spot to put it. It makes it seem like love is a transactional thing. You got the cage off her, so now she officially loves you but that's obviously not how love works. Ideally it would be placed right before the fight with her sister, preferably on the boat ride.
This literally all could have been avoided if we had the option of fucking her while giving her a handjob. Or just... stopping for two seconds and talking things out like healthy people do when complications arise. But nah let's give the princess a super powerful aphrodisiac for... literally no reason. Like she has the entire rest of her life to use her dick, why does she have to use it 9 times the first night it's free? Doesn't feel like it suits her at all.
