This makes me want to start a Liaden rant. Holy moly do I hate that shitty excuse of a character.
How can someone fumble this hard?

Everything about her, is just stupid. From the idea to the execution, there was either zero thought put into it or they just didn't care.

Let's start at the beginning.
You meet Azzy, you get to know her to bone her (a rarity for a Coc2 characters these days), you do her quest, free the hive. Liaden helps you. Everything is going great.
But suddenly boom, you return home and have to find out Azzy is poly and suddenly wants to bang Liaden.

First of all, why suckerpunch the player like this? I know Savin loves poly, but newsflash, Savin, most of the population doesn't.
Atleast with Cait he had the decency to warn you beforehand.
But ok you recover from that suckerpunch and now have two "options":

Option A:
Tell her you won't help her getting together with Liaden. Now you lose tons off "Azzy" content and the game tries to make you feel bad for being an ass about it. Whatever.

Option B:
You help Liaden and Azzy get together. Great. Just one tiny little problem. Liaden is a lesbian. She won't bang dudes.
Why? Nobody knows. Skows self-insert maybe? I don't know. What I do know is that you are now still locked out of all Azzy Liaden content, even if you wanted a "poly" relationship.

All of Azzy's CGs? Gone. Her holiday event? Gone.(Actually you meet Liaden on the way to Azzy and she will tell you about how she is going to suprise Azzy alone, thanks Savin, great christmas event ). And that's only the stuff I remember.

From time to time there are those weird shitty whole paragraphs that go on forever lines they write when they forget this is a fantasy sex land and no one really cares about their dumb societal issues, they are so cringe you can almost feel their creativity fading away and the spite flowing into them

It doesn't work, I have zero reasons to believe poor, confused, lonely and repressed lesbian Liaden was something real that actually happened and therefore I should feel something about her, it wasn't real, it can't be. I refuse to concede that there's even a religious order in that whole setting to ever conceive the idea that sex=bad and homo sex=bad bad

Same thing happen with Daliza in a way less cringe way when Jael'yn talks about our bailiff just watching all the other girls training and thinking, "wow, so lesbian. Liaden was SKoW's baby. And you've seen the content SKoW usually puts in. Back when the wasp was first introduced, there wasn't any real indication that her content and the entirety of her character development was going to be shackled to Liaden until the end of time.

Hey everybody, I repurposed a modloader named KittyPatcher from Course of Tempation to Corruption of Champions 2, that makes modding this game easy, painless, and flexible. It works like a traditional game modding system where all mod files are put in a mod folder, a script is launched, and it mods the game for you. Me and Azriel are working on making it as update proof as possible (although it is already update proof for many mods you'd be making).

All mods released and developed for this game have been updated and integrated using KittyPatcher. So you can get all COC2 mods from one place using one easy method.

As someone that has been looking into each patch note since easily +5 years and only played update that features futa/gynomorph content, I can only agree with you lol. I feel like in the early days the % of futa content was way higher, similar to the one in TITS, but at some point they started to make casual/straight content the focus point.

Anyway, I started caring less about the game around the introduction of the weeb/fox girl content.

The majority of the unavoidable story encounters include dicked females, including your main opponent in the story, and gender swaps, in the case of companions. Getting fucked by people who just beat your ass in combat is also largely getting penetrated, not something straight men are into, and is largely a straight female priority. Especially when it is well documented that being raped is the most common female sexual fantasy. You're willfully blind to these aspects of the game, or disingenuous.

My gripe isn't that the content is catered to gay girls.
I wouldn't bother if she were random NPC 25, who doesn't have connections to any companions.

I guess, I would still wonder why you would unnecessarily gate content behind a gender check.
You can look at other characters who do that, like Ramis from Tits.
She atleast kinda plays around with that concept, because she bullies twinks and her niche is build around that. But honestly it's not like she is a popular character to begin with.

Liaden doesn't even have that, there is no mechanical reason for her being gay. Her content doesn't get anything by being gated to females. Hell you can just switch your pronouns and access the same content. You don't need femal parts or anything. Something which Ramis doesn't let you do.

There is just no reason for any of it. But additionally she also is bound to a companion, who has much off it's written content locked behind their relationship.
