Ah yes, because AI is the answer to everything. And not, you know, asking them to become better writers or get a damn editor. Knowing AI, it will confused all the strange terms they have for sex and it's parts for something important.
Welcome to the land of BABY BATTER, Lady THUNDERCUNT THE WOMB SMASHER has invited you to her castle in FUTA HORSECOCK to discus the ongoing demon invasion and some personal matters.
Do you 1: fuck her FROSTLANDS
2: Ride her WAYFORT
or 3: Discuss the attack on SLUTWIFE
Your comment about being antagonizing is very ironic right now.
Honestly, what's the issue? Creaming before the scene is over?
Have fun reading paragraphs upon paragraphs describing what kind of sofas are in the room and what colour the carpet is. In a sex scene, I remind you. Some people like wordwordword. I guess this is why books are divided into reading levels. I guess what they ought to do is use GPT to make the 30 paragraph scenes into 5 paragraphs by asking it to make the smut concise.
I thought of how to illustrate a proper point to this question. It's been broached before and answered before and usually each and every time the explanation either flies over heads or is completely ignored so that people can create another stance with which to argue against. As I'm typing this out on my keyboard, taking time away from Expedition 33, a very pretty game by the way, I have to come up with a way in which to express this stance that I want to bring.people are complaining the text smut scenes are too long? ? ?
A modern John Henry.Tobs vs AI Tobs on who can write the longest, cringiest weeb shitsune piece of prolix purple prose.
Holy shit, my eyes glazed over halfway through as if I'm reading a Tobs original. Nice work.holy mother of snips
I have read this entire thing.I thought of how to illustrate a proper point to this question. It's been broached before and answered before and usually each and every time the explanation either flies over heads or is completely ignored so that people can create another stance with which to argue against. As I'm typing this out on my keyboard, taking time away from Expedition 33, a very pretty game by the way, I have to come up with a way in which to express this stance that I want to bring.
There's many issues here. How do I begin to articulate the issue which I'll bring up later. There are many different approaches to this problem after all. Some avenues may work or others may cause friction and resistance. When trying to persuade somebody it's usually better to bring them to the same mindframe so that they have a jumping off point to empathize.
Empathy is the main point here.
If I can't make you feel the point I'm trying to get across, you may end up completely loss. The other half of the puzzle is persuasion. A conversation only works with people share a little bit of perspective. Otherwise it's easy to reject the idea outright. That rejection is the finishing blow to many a different type of conversation.
The last part is eloquence.
How do I articulate the stance that I have that I'll explain later. Simple words could work. But, the nomenclature I use in real life would leave you absolutely ponderous as to their meaning and intent. There's other things that hamper communication such as spelling and grammar mistakes and the like. My 's' key is going so it sometimes inputs extra s's like thiss or thisss. Which themselves would stick out like a bold thumb even if I didn't just bold it like thisss and thisss.
Still I've beat around the bush for far too long.
So let's get down to it. I'll start by setting the stage a little bit. As mentioned before, this is to help establish a few points with which to latch onto. I think I might need to start with the history from where this complaint begins. Although that's another issue with this conversation. I don't know how much of the thread you've read.
The history of this thread is pretty long.
You can read all kinds of stances from every perspective here. Part of the reason I enjoy this place is that even though there is some audible echoes, you usually have people come to their own conclusions before mixing them into the pot. It's also why so many of the same topics come back again and again and again.
Speaking of similar topics, did you know that each time we circle back to one of the repeating ones it is extremely rare for one of the 'regulars' to be one of the ones that instigate that topic. I find it remarkable that different people in the absence of stimulation can come to the same conclusion with the same points of contention. The last part is going to be a bit too. A lot of other 'regulars' throw up their hands when people bring up a topic not realizing that the person bringing it up usually has, at most, one post in this topic across it's entire life.
Anyways on the assumption that you haven't read the thread, a task I understand is remarkably daunting given the length and history, I should probably being by setting up how others feel and what I do or don't agree with. Not every complaint is one I mirror after all, and this individuality gives a tiny bit of perspective. That perspective being that there is absolutely no way in hell anybody is still reading this garbage I'm typing right now. I'm going to free style a bit. Just know that if this paragraph was overly long that was an intentional decision to go back and fuck it up some more. I've just been rambling on and on while I have a documentary on the tv.
When things go on for a long enough time it creates a bit of an issue that I'll explain later. I think if you've followed along with the thread thus only some parts of the problem is brought up. But, I think there are other things which that usually don't get said. I think I'll make the ending abrupt. These things, I think, if regularly mentioned, would help get the point across as to why some people could be put off. I'm not sure if it's my place to make assumptions. You know what they say about assume, you know?
Assumptions are pretty killer.
All to often it's easy for a person to accidentally slip into thinking they know more than what they know. For instance if you see a line of text you could think that you know the type of person who typed it, what they're like, what fetishes they like, so on and so forth. That's partially true for this topic as well. It'd surprise you to know that I've only spent 5 minutes thus far on this bullshit all for a gag I know for a fact won't hit. Adding sentences to help illustrate a point that doesn't exist. As a result it's better to curb your assumptions so that they don't get in a way of opinion. As the saying goes, assumption makes an ass out of you not me.
Opinion is probably the mosst important part. It's more common these dayss for people to mistake their subjective opinion for objective fact. As a matter of fact, this reminds me of the time I spent idling away with friends discussing inane nonsense that we're equally uninformed about. Then we'd come to a conclusion and weigh our 'head-canon' against each other. There's no right or wrong in that scenario, it's just an ego check and using dumb mans logic to be persuasive.
In conclusion

Obviously not him but I don't have a problem with any writing stye they wish to use. I just want it to, yknow, actually be not shit. The action, action, action thing works better because it covers up the fact that none of these people know how to write a compelling narrative or character. You want the writing to be action, action, action, action, done.
You have a problem with action, analogy, sensation/sense, action, reaction, sensation, conclusion.
snip
The problem is that the game does not present itself as profound, it presents itself as a smutty hyper-sexual world text rpg for gooning to where gooning is your number one concern. You want the writing to be action, action, action, action, done.

The game is oriented towards people who are smut roleplayers themselves. When someone wastes their life doing the same roleplay plots, tropes, and smut scenes, they either end up in the first camp or the second camp. The second camp is the one that Savin prefers and feels is worth paying a cut of proceeds to. This is why writers like Tobs are here to stay in this project, where as fenoxo took the former with him to TiTs. You're never going to get what you want with CoC2, but you're not wrong for having a preference or wishing they'd cater to it. I never really jived with TiTs and all the bug species in it, myself.
If it was on me, I'd tell Tobs to calm the fucking down and get to the point. The thing about writing a lot is that you'll naturally risk losing the reader, which is unfortunate but it happens when you're producing something for others to read. I can blow through an entire afternoon using and abusing of thesaurus to produce 100 pages of text but I don't want whatever message I'm passing through those words to end up lost. Some people like wordwordword. I guess this is why books are divided into reading levels. I guess what they ought to do is use GPT to make the 30 paragraph scenes into 5 paragraphs by asking it to make the smut concise.
What the hell are you supposed to train your AI on for it to accommodate slime bodies, tentacle penises, massive size differences, etc.? It’s just gonna end up spewing crap.Man you guys completely missed my point instead just got triggered. So many different combinations of body modifications. The AI could write a rough draft and the writer can just proof read it and change what needs to be changed. It takes a long time to write sex scenes with so many different modifications on the body. The AI could help with that.

The problem, is the devs keep trying to make it something that it is not. This is a fucking porn game. Not a game that has porn, a LITERAL porn game. If the devs wanted to make some actual RPG game with writing they would make it tonally different, and perhaps not a fucking porn game. However, they want to have their cake and eat it too because they want the BIG patreon bucks for milking their porn game that has been in development for YEAAAARS
This is all Savin's fault for being a horrible project manager. He is not fucking cut out for it.
>reworking the combat 10 billion times when 90% of players don't bother with it and just cheat in max levels so they don't have to deal with combat
>getting a bunch of content written by "the community" which is solely because you don't have to pay them and thus you get free work
>because of community written content you have a mishmash of a whole bunch of random shit that is completely unrelated so much so it feels like a modded fucking skyrim experience
>tone and writing style is so drastically different between scenes it could very well pass as completely different games
>tons of content in the game that just stops abruptly because the original writer either left or lost interest in it
>too much samey content (the dreaded futadom saturation)
>despite people complaining about cuckshit there is virtually nothing and what is there sucks dick
>don't get me started on what they did to Berwyn and his writer
Fuck Savin fuck Tobs fuck everyone who manages this shitshow game and I have half a mind to believe you're Tobs yourself because I 100% know Savin lurks this site, 4chan, and other places and seethes whenever people criticize him and his game
Cause 'black clothes and sexual' is a cliche way of presenting characters as villainous (while also appealing to people) and these writers are hacks. That, and they want to lock the goths away behind an underdeveloped mechanic because they HATE GOTH MOMMY SUPREMACY.why does corruption means turning into goth mommy?
I lowkey think you could just use some game toggles for that. Like "your [species] shoots Cait into the space with your [first weapon name]". Of course, that would somehow be too work for Savin and his intrepid band.Man you guys completely missed my point instead just got triggered. So many different combinations of body modifications. Somebody on the crew got bullied by a goth decades ago and the consequences somehow remain. It's their equivalent of a KinuQuest: Original Sin.Cause 'black clothes and sexual' is a cliche way of presenting characters as villainous (while also appealing to people) and these writers are hacks. That, and they want to lock the goths away behind an underdeveloped mechanic because they HATE GOTH MOMMY SUPREMACY.
Didn't Fenoxo already draft something like that for the original CoC or TiTS? You'd put them in brackets and it would randomly select a word from a list fitting the category chosen. It was so sex scenes didn't feel quite so samey.I lowkey think you could just use some game toggles for that. Like "your [species] shoots Cait into the space with your [first weapon name]".
