Oh yeah, another thing about Azzy. I don't feel I've quite describe my full feelings about her. Or atleast i felt I didn't do it justice. I felt like ever since Azzy got that force relationship shit with Liaden she kinda stopped being both interesting and her own character. Kinda like Azami from legend of korra. Not to mention there are always so many things that just wave me off from having sex with her, like that venom addiction shit. I've never like that because it temporaily gates sex scenes. If they had a specific action you had to choose to get slowly addicted that didn't involve sex, that would be fine but gaining an addiction meter from a blowjob or all things?


They also throw Liaden and Azzy so much in your face like it's a good thing they went behind your back and fell more in love with someone else. None of the interactions feels like she has a true affection or love for you, it's just feels like words someone says but don't really mean. Which is why i didn't even bother to get rid of Liaden, like nothing will change other than her not directly being there. It's not like they are going to create new scenes where Azzy shows how much she loves you or anything, you're just cutting off a infected wound that already spread to her body. If that makes sense.

Azzy isn't even forgetable it's just that she feels...souless. I don't particularly care that she's around because she doesn't add anything in terms of being a companion.She and Liaden do nothing for the story at large or have any significance to you, the champion. There are friends, I guess, but we got a lot more interesting ones than them. I like Lusamine and Boomer and hope they get expanded more, we need to find a way to give the elf girl pregnant like she wants. More lewd shit with Boomer, I don't like not having direct access to him.

And in terms of companions, she doesn't have a good reason to help you other than she likes being around you.

Quint has a legit reason to help you and I can fantasy about fucking him until he's male preggers. Vivaine is my magical demon companion who I can see helping me further my conquests, Atugia...alright she kinda has the same issue but her problem is more that the writers don't know what to do with her instead of 'look at this lesbian ship! Ain't they cute? They cute ain't they?!'. Everyone else has a presence good or bad. I think Azzy could have been more interesting if you could actually confront her about her choice and how it made you feel. Clearly, Azzy isn't like normal people and spent most of her days in the hive so she doesn't understand how everyone else sees relationships.This could lead to her letting down Liaden and apologizing to both of you and her trying to be strictly yours or you can choose to let share azzy with Liaden. That's something that could have been explored.

I mean, apparently, there's another companion whose name starts with A, but for the life of me, I can't remember if they are in the game or not. It's like a mental blank, something about a phoenix or something...actually my head hurts. I'm going to lay down.

I was looking up the argument the other day, same day I checked the latest update's change notes. Their argument being based on "the real life persecution of lesbian/bissexuals" made me quite impressed.

The main issue I had with korra is that she never suffered consequences for being a harassing and cheating bitch. The main fire-bender dude told her he was in a relationship and she was like "lol so? I'm the avatar" and kept hitting on him. People think that her getting her ass beat for doing stupid shit and then her being like "Man I shouldn't have done that" sometimes is character growth and somehow excuses the rank shit she did to her "friends". Ignoring the fact that a couple of episodes later, she just does the same stupid shit again because she believes she can handle anything because of her cause avatar.

I think we've all had that happen once or twice in our young days, right? You have this solid friend, who's always there with the crew, life or death, shows up for everything.

And then he shows up with this chick who looks like she would rather be anywhere else. You try to be sympathetic with her, but she keeps cutting off the plot whenever she can.

Soon, you find that your friend's not there because he has to go with his girl to a show. They're going to the mall. They're going to see a movie. And all of those happen around the same time you'd go play soccer together.

Years later, you reach out to him during a reunion and he explains that life just took him a different route. She took him to her church, passed him on her rites, the two married last month. And you can't find it in yourself to be too upset over it because you've long lost any familiarity you had with the guy, but... yeah, it sucks.

Their relation puts Azzy on that spot. When the game's writing goes on to say that they're enjoying their lovey-dovey time, I can't help but just ignore her. She has better things to do, right? Amazing to see such a scenario happen on a porn game of all things, but damn.

The funny thing is that the respectful outcome to that sort of thing has always been to let them go their way and, if you're that worthy to that friend, they'll come back and apologise. Since Azzy never does that, it's safe to say she prefers the lesbian knight.

So, that means she's just another companion, with the added bonus of not being particularly interested in the player's character, which means we're stuck with the three options that such a character shouldn't need to have.

Forget her, scissorblock them or... you know, drop them on the corrupt pot. You could also still keep bringing her to things, but wouldn't that just be rude?

For the lurkers from their camp, throwing them into the honey was a way to keep them relevant because, as it turns out, most people don't give a shit about NPC x NPC shipping.

I don't think anyone likes being a third wheel and even in a poly-situation that doesn't feel good, you know, like the pc is just the small spice that Azzy adds to the relationship every now and then. She doesn't have a reason for coming with us on the journey to fight Kas. And it's clear Laiden wants all the time in the world with her. So I don’t get why she's even a companion.

Fucking hell, I have to agree. I was actually perplexed when I saw how many people liked her, even here. Terrible personality and while I'll say I like futa, I really, really don't like masculine futa, especially is they look like brick shithouses. Azzy and Liaden are the worst of the worst in terms of making you care for a character, they really did the ntr aproach there making you first care about this wasp girl only for someone else to come out of nowhere and by virtue of doing minimal work develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with her that you can't refuse without looking like a monster

It's rather telling that discussion around Azzy exists solely about her relationship with Liaden and not in a good way. The whole thing falls apart compared to the other couples Skow has made because with those you know what it is from the outset. Azzy's couple thing lures you in and makes you think you're building a relationship with Azzy based on interacting with her, in an albeit limited way. But then we get the most boring entity who exists only as a weird extension of a companion with nothing else to her.


So at the risk of getting slightly conspiratorial, when I went to the wiki to get the liaden image to make this, Savin is listed as her creator and Skow a contributor. Obviously Skow likely approved of it but it makes me wonder how much of the relationship was mandated by Savin and he just let Skow take the heat. Maybe even removing corruption was a way to protect his character. But that's just a theory. A GAME THEOR [Crimson's U.S.A. mandated FBI Agent here. It always makes me happy to see people trash azzy and liaden and all that shitty business, truly warms my heart. Im eager to see what happens with the Dawnsword quest, but as we all know, probably not much. Also, isn't Skow the person that always does those really awful voyeurism and third wheel scenes? liaden and azzy just reeks of it. Literally someone pairing their ocs because they can't help themselves. They gotta be special after all. Thinking about it, its so fucking funny actually that they first tried to "fix" it by giving the option to take Liaden as girlfriend and "involving" you in their relationship but that shit wasn't any good so now you can just straight up remove her from the game, lmao.

As im slowly making my way trough the game again, i just got summoned back to Carmen and she wishes to make me the Champion of Hawkethorne.... and that got me thinking.... WHY CANT WE ROMANCE THIS OLD VAMPIRE? LADY ALREADY SAVIN WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GIVE IT TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE or just let me fuck her already, we even got komari before her like what?

It would also make for a nice little story about the new rising champion, baron, Slayer and lover of thousands to wed the old, almost self loathing but very much charming and caring lady to breathe new life into her (preferably by her drinking our blood or/and seed) and yada yada, so many angles you could choose from. Probably too much work for the "writers" of this game, to many variables they would have to consider.

Oh man speaking of the Dawnsword quest, ya'll remember how for some reason they just had Azzy gushing to hell and back about how amazing Lia is and everything and apparently there's absolutely no fucking mention on you at all as her partner either? It was said earlier when I explained the elves that they were the most NTR'y thing in the game, but I think Lia/Azzy took the case as the original instance of you getting Netorared and bc she was a companion who you were forced to have that happen to you or else you're treated as a monster for not "letting" the hornet women have "her twuueee love", to the point backlash was so big apparently that damn scene had to be rewritten. Infact it felt as if her polyamory talk was phoned in, bc even my monogamous hopeless romantic ass felt like that wasn't polyam stuff. Like I'd get it if it felt more natural and ya know, queens and drones and all that hubub and how that work, but it was just shoehorned to explain why Azzy was suddenly into this chick so much more than you. And even in the case of metamours (Metamours being you're dating someone and they're also dating someone else alongside you, but you're not dating the other person your S/O is. Again, it's the Rindo situation, but made more offensive bc it's a companion that time around and not written by Tobs. Fixing it so that Lia was around from the start is a very too little too late thing, and even then I doubt the actual relationship itself was fixed to actually be made more equal.

It's rather telling that discussion around Azzy exists solely about her relationship with Liaden and not in a good way. The whole thing falls apart compared to the other couples Skow has made because with those you know what it is from the outset. Azzy's couple thing lures you in and makes you think you're building a relationship with Azzy based on interacting with her, in an albeit limited way. But then we get the most boring entity who exists only as a weird extension of a companion with nothing else to her.

I hate the Dawnsword quest. The whole thing feels like it exists to glaze Liaden and make her more popular and cash in on the Sanders is Obi-Wan joke. The game really wants you to give Liaden the sword too like why is she even involved?

Also shout out to the corrupt Dawnsword being removed if you go near Lumia with it because she purifies it because God literally forbid corruption content exists. And While I'm bitching about it, how in the hell is an eldritch horror that's pretending to be holy have the ability to purify anything? It seems counter to their true nature unless you say she's eating the corruption but that feels flimsy. Dawnsword isn't even that good mechanically because magic lightsabers are a power fantasy unless you're a certain paladin.

It was said earlier when I explained the elves that they were the most NTR'y thing in the game, but I think Lia/Azzy took the case as the original instance of you getting Netorared and bc she was a companion who you were forced to have that happen to you or else you're treated as a monster for not "letting" the hornet women have "her twuueee love", to the point backlash was so big apparently that damn scene had to be rewritten. Infact it felt as if her polyamory talk was phoned in, bc even my monogamous hopeless romantic ass felt like that wasn't polyam stuff. Like I'd get it if it felt more natural and ya know, queens and drones and all that hubub and how that work, but it was just shoehorned to explain why Azzy was suddenly into this chick so much more than you.
